hmm i see, so if your previous experiences outweigh the irritation of whatever is making you stuck, you will continue onIf the game is good, I keep playing if I'm stuck. If it sucks, I get rid of it.
Pirate700
I try to figure it out if I can't I look up a way to get past STRICTLY the part im on. silentnightmerehmm focused cheating i do this too, depending on how stuck i am
Throwing the controller at the cat is my typical modus operandi.Engrish_Majorpoor controller :(
hmm in a shooter on a high difficulty, it would be when they are shooting you more than you can shoot them in and adventure game, it would be when you don't have the right ingredients to get beyond a certain point and you have to back track and look in an rpg, it's when you don't know where to go next or the boss is too powerful in a puzzle game, it's where you suck hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmGet... stuck?
I don't understand.
MissLibrarian
Both. But I'm not that much into the popular shooters like CoD and Battlefield. Lately been having fun with Dark Souls. horgen123i approve :)
Usually get annoyed and never look at it again like I have done with Demons Souls. Anything easier I usually persevere.Jandurinwhere did you stop in demon's souls i stopped in world 5-2 ;s
I hated Valley of defilement in DS for plauge . Bosses were uber easy tho as they can easily be beaten with fire attack .

Demon's souls rocks though. :x
It is a good game and if I could get in to it would be a game I'd enjoy. When I first started playing it I was supposed to be doing my MSc dissertation so I couldnt really put much time in to it. It ended up collecting dust on the shelf for months. Now I am uni free I might give it a proper go.
First world was fun though. Brutal learning curve  horgen123It took me half a week to get through the tutorial!
Well I remember one time when I was re-playing a Zelda game on the SNES having to look up on the internet how to push a block off a bridge? Other than that, I've never had problems getting 'stuck' in a game that I recall. OH except Driver 2. Never completed that game. I just remember never managing to get past a particular point where I'd always end up in the sea. I gave up on that one. MissLibrarianyou are probably less impatient than me i consider any halting of forward progress for 10 minutes to be "stuck"
Blighttown is a blast to play through. Who can honestly not love a place where you get poisoned by several of the enemies, some toxic you and enemies that re-spawn plus walking on the ground itself is dangerous? :PBad news is they re created Valley of Defilement environment and more difficulty in Blighttown in Dark souls

HaHa very true
It took me half a week to get through the tutorial!horgen123That's supposed to be done in an hour :( You should try to get into the game again. Death is your best teacher in it. :P My mind was elsewhere at the time. Maybe next week when I have nothing to do and nowhere to go I will play it.
btw i don't know how you are supposed to play demon's souls without a guide there are so many things about weapons and the upgrading you wouldn't know without a comprehensive listJandurin
Guide or video strategy is neccessary for both DS games . But thats my opinion :)

I went to the wiki after awhile. To get hints when I was stuck on a boss. Doing the same in Dark souls now. Also looking at upgrades paths now, as they are a great bit wider than in Demon's Souls.
The boss there is cool though, and easy if you know how to.HaHa very true

HaHa Tutorial is not hard as it seems . Some of my freinds wanted to fight the dragon and Red knight in level 1 and without a proper sheild , thats where they went wrong i guess :P

Fighting the red dragon just required loads of arrows. :P
btw i don't know how you are supposed to play demon's souls without a guide there are so many things about weapons and the upgrading you wouldn't know without a comprehensive listhorgen123You try and fail, or go to the wiki. I'll say this
The poison ground before her, at the bottom of blighttown, run around as human. You will meet a new enemy that will help you with the boss if you are human when you try to fight her. Although I would suggest to try to fight her once or twice before calling in backup
Haven't fought Queelag Yet . I'll find a strategy eventually or take your tip :)

I bang my head against the problem until I solve it, in a borderline-obsessive fashion. The only exception are racing games; sometimes a bit of sleep helps to integrate knowledge of the tracks, but even then it's only after extreme repetition. Games own me, not the other way around.
you are probably less impatient than me i consider any halting of forward progress for 10 minutes to be "stuck"MissLibrarianI suppose that's it. It did take me about 300 tries to do the last level of Killzone 2 on elite, for example. Took about 4 months. I guess that'd count as 'stuck' for some people, but I knew what I was doing, it was just a bit hard. I won't lie... if that happened to me I'd melt the disk down and throw the molten slag in the face of a dev.
