What do you do when you get stuck in a game?

I keep trying to pass the part I got stuck on, but if I don't make progress after 50 tries, I usually just move on to another game.

Keep trying to get through that part. If I still can't then a take a break and try a few hours, days or whatever later. I don't quit or lower the difficulty due to being stuck though.

walkthrough

If the game is good, I keep playing if I'm stuck. If it sucks, I get rid of it.

Whine about poor level design and such to myself until I find the right path. Has worked so far.

I stop playing the game 'cause it's not worth my time. Haven't touched a game for the purpose of getting through it in years by the way.

Usually when I get stuck in a game I start to chew my tongue to keep myself from swearing too loudly, but a few years ago I used to swear like a sailor and throw things :P

Truthfully? I turn it in to gamestop, its obvious the game wasn't for me. I dont buy games to breeze through but I do not buy a game to get stuck for weeks.

You mean like...CDs? I started on cartridges (cassettes were around but I never got to play them). Before GameFAQs and auto-save I simply dived Ash Ketchum style into the hard part before it became...unstuck? I really need more sleep.

It is a good game and if I could get in to it would be a game I'd enjoy. When I first started playing it I was supposed to be doing my MSc dissertation so I couldnt really put much time in to it. It ended up collecting dust on the shelf for months. Now I am uni free I might give it a proper go.

It took me half a week to get through the tutorial!

I dont get stuck in games. I'm that good.
