the whole sleep process fascinates me. like what causes dreams and how me dream etc.
i always find it fascinating how some games that let you change your appearance or do something good or evil, can keep up with all that stuff. i have a more in-depth answer, but i cant put it into words for some reason:P i guess the mechanics behind video games fascinates me. yea that sounds better.
The human brain is fascinating. so much we dont know.
Written word. Its not amazing unless you look at it for long enough, you kind of forget how complex language is. Its only when you stare at the writing for long enough that you realise its just a bunch of symbols, and how astonishing it is that you mind computes them so quickly into thoughts.Overlord93yeah i noticed that as well.
Just 'cause I like making threads...the number of times Dmad hits the new topic button. hhhmmm....

Religion mostly. And how it developed over the centuries.foxhound_foxThat is one thing. I would add The Human Mind (it's abilities and lack of abilities) Space Life and nature itself. I mean just watch nature do it's thing for a while, even something as insignificant as watching ants move grains of sand to and fro', just take a moment and take that all in, and the mind sort of boggles.
Humans
(Examples: the human psych, pyschopaths, human nature, and overall human-based philosophy)
Earth and Nature
Ambiguity
Equilibrium
Also, I'm fascinated by the outer dark beyond this earthly realm. I only wish it were possible to comprehend and understand what's out there.
I've always found metaphysics to be really interesting, I'm actually taking a few courses related to it 8)
Greek Mythology. Always found an interest in that.metallica_fan42
I personally prefer Norse mythology.....there's just something awesome about it (fyi, I loved Norse mythology before I even heard of metal :P ).
And then there's also the universe. I've personally exploded my mind a few times trying to imagine what's "outside" of the unuverse......if it even has an outside...
A room in the old shop my parents used to own. It was very damp, the roof had black mold growing and we never used it. If you set a dog loose in the shop they would always run up to that room and start putting on a face, like a snarl, and bite the air as if catching a wasp with their teeth. It's strange because every single dog did this. They didn't bark, they didn't growl, just snarled and take bites at the air. Like a dog catching rain.
Also I always used to dream of that room, and still do occasionally to this day. It's never good when the dream leads you to that room either, obviously my mind associates it with something foreboding and bar, like it's became a prison for my most darkest thoughts, and it is a place I must go to confront them. Maybe that's what the dogs were snarling at.....
Everything, tbh. How our universe is so vast and holds so many endless phenomenons even light years away, how life-sustaining forms are able to synchronize their complex parts to perform even the simplest of functions, how every single piece of matter is composed of atoms, how energy is neither created or destroyed but rather constantly transforms itself, and so on. I just find it so fascinating how everything works. Even the smallest of things like typing this on my laptop: a process triggered by electrical signals sent throughout my body so that I can convery my thoughts through a piece of inorganic equipment that also utilizes electrical signals. This makes me sound really nerdy, but I really love science.

Evil_Saluki
that does sound very interesting.
i like stories like this. where no one is saying they saw things, a ghost/demon lives their etc. instead of the usual, it just that one room in particular is creepy, not haunted per se, just creepy.

You're trying wayyy too hard to sound intelligent
I joke!, anyways the basic mentality of humans. How some can kill and feel no remorse, how others can give off a persona thats totally different than their own. Really amazing how the mind works
The wonders of the cosmos. I can't get enough of it. Everyone should watch Through the Wormhole on the Science Channel.22Toothpicks
That show is what Morgan Freeman's voice was made for (and to be God of course).
Have you read the Fabric of the Cosmos: Space Time and the Texture of Reality? Also a great book by the same author as Elegant Universe.
How, exactly? :?You're trying wayyy too hard to sound intelligent :lol:FrenchDynasty
Pretty much everything I listed are basic ideas, nothing complex, and I think a lot of people probably find them fascinating (otherwise they would never be studied). Imagine actually speaking to an expert in something like that though.
I guess the tl;dr version would be "everything", but that sounds pretty lame and vague, doesn't it?
[QUOTE="tenaka2"][QUOTE="DmadFearmonger"]
The people around me, they don't think creatively. They follow each other. Leading to their doom. A process repeated too many times... They all live default lives, do default things, behave the same, look the same. They are numbers. I am not, I do not live this life. And if you want another example: Media is recycling itself. Nothing is original anymoreDmadFearmonger
So your unique and no one else is? Would you like to have a guess about the number of people who think the same way as that? Or do the 'default' people know they are default people?
I know I'm not the only one. But there are less of us then there should be. Also, numbers are too stupid to know they're just numbers. Nothing more... Your ego is way too big...[QUOTE="imaps3fanboy"]Magnets, and how they workOverlord93and how exactly is that?

I'm aware, I was playing along ._. magic everywhere in this b**** :D was gonna post the song but I'd probably get a suspension. It should be a birthright for everyone on this planet to listen to that Masterpiece.tbh its not really, doorbells work generally through the simple use of an electromagnet to drive a resonator of some sort. Depending on the mechanism you have in place. Its really nothing special. :PI think my ding dong's pretty fascinating.
