Mariners coming back baby!
IrishPunk
Last time I checked Mariners where 12 games behind first place in their division. Ouch.
Oh noes! 12 down with only ... 100+ games left! :(
We're screwed.

Which is harder to reach, E5 in the Marinies, or E5 in the Air Force?
What is replacing the F15, and what is replacing the F16?
E5 in the Marines
The F-22 Raptor will replace F-15 Strike Eagle & the F-35 Lightning II will replace F-16 Fighting Falcons.

Those are easy questions.
1. Marines
2. F16=F35 Lighting, F15=F22 Raptor
That question is actually for me, thanks!

Correct on both. What is the main differences between the F15 and F16, and what kind of missions are each of them designed for?
And this is a real easy one, what was the first aircraft to break the sound barrier, what day, and who flew it? And what was so legendary about this man, and about this flight?
And what is the new alternative fuel that is currently being tested out in aviation?
F15 was designed primarily for assisting ground forces and air superiority, while the F16 is a straight up fighter jet that has evolved into a do everything aircraft.
Second two I couldn't tell you without googling.

F-15s are Air Supremacy Fighters meaning they specializes in Air to Air combat while F-16s are Multi Role Fighters.
Bell X-1 Rocket Plane piloted by Charles Yeager.
Biofuel? Isophropil? There are alot of alternative fuels being experimented on right now specially since the prize of the Jet-A1 fuel has sky rocketed.
Computer hardware.
Computer software.
Pretty much all gadgets and electronics including mp3 players, cameras, televisions etc.
Also Blu Ray and boxsets of any kind.

F-15 often assists ground forces but that isnt their primary roles cause the A-10 Thunderbolt II is the one who has that slot.

Kinda, thats not really the answer I'm looking for....
The F15 and the F16 have the same engine, but the F15 has 2 and F16 has just 1. The F15 is ment more for air to air combat, the F16 is used for both air to air and air to ground, but mostly for air to ground because it can not fly as fast as an F15...This is probably why the F35 is more of a steath jet then the F22, so it will be more useful for air to ground missions. The F35 also has the same engine as the F22, just the F22 has 2 of them, the F35 has only 1 engine.
Yes, the Bell X-1D is the first aircraft to break the sound barrier, flown by Chuck Yeager. What was so legendary about his was he because an ace in a day, shot down in combat, and survived in France armed with nothing but a pistol. What was legendary about the flight was chuck yeager broke his arm horse back riding the day before, and flew the X-1 with a broken arm.
And yah, there are alot of alternative fuels being tested. I forgot the name of the type which is the most popular and the most used, but there are some others like biofuels, and hydrogen is also being tested, but they cant get a system running off of hydrogen light enough and small enough to be used in an aircraft. (Although some people claim the soviets made a flight running off of hydrogen in the late 80's, cant remember what plane was used, you can probably google it and find an answer)

Also, Hydrogen is very flammable and thats a no no specially in the commercial industry.

I think around 40 knots is the top speed of an aircraft carrier. I'm not sure though cause I dont scale Knots too well.
