Can't say I am as picky as you.DonV21I'm not picky (maybe cynical). I do have a car, telephone and TV. However, they aren't nearly as central in my daily life as they are in most other peoples.
Are you amish?WINDWAKER1No. For instance, instead of cars I think we should have personal automated transits. Owned and operated by the TSB, tax-paid. The technology exists, and considering we are running out of gas and room to build more roads (and people won't stop having babies, so there are more future drivers) then when you project out 50-100 years you'll see that the current system is unsustainable. But I'd be happy for the simply fact that it would remove idiots control over the vehicle and turn that control over to something that is always going to follow the rules. If I said I had developed a fast but costly transportation system, but it required we sacrifice 40,000 in the U.S. each year, randomly selected regardless of age, gender, race, social class etc., do you think people would go for it? Because in a nutshell, that's what cars represent.
[QUOTE="3eyedrazorback"]I hate it when people smack. Whether it's gum, food, etc. Even when they make the sucking sound when they lick their fingers.ff7fan2Sorry about that. >__>
Just don't do it around me, and we'll be golden my friend :)
There are many thing I WANT to be different, but that doesn't mean I'm trying to stand out of the crowd. If I craved attention as such, I'd be an extrovert. I'm not. I just look at things that annoy me and thing of how things can be better. That's what I build my business on in the 90's and I sold it off in the early 2000's because I felt I had done all I could to improve those particular aspects of (business) life. The first step into improving things is to not be satisfied with the way things are.wow well I hate you just in case everyone else likes you...
I think you just wanna be different...and you hate the world

So you wanna improve the world by getting rid of TV, transportation, and communication....
You should run for President with those kind of goals...you'd do good

The irony here, is that YOUR post contains the first occurrences in this entire thread of both the words 'getting' and 'rid'.What you said + "Cool Music", anime, myspace, the letter "Q", general fitness, women AND men, Starbucks, and capitalism. Oh yeah and texting. Penguin_dragon
Other than anime, I question your tastes.
Assume that they are right and bash others who hold another view.redfield_137
That's the way to do it.
Do you honestly drive the speed limit..?Dark__LinkYup. Never had a speeding ticket. Never had any tickets or moving violations, actually. Speed Limits aren't suggestions. They're as they are because they consider not only road conditions, but traffic coming onto and off of the road (such as driveways), pedestrian traffic, makeup of the road itself (there are many kinds of asphalt, often changing with climate zones) and so on. Speed Limit doesn't mean "This is how fast we think you can keep control of your car", it means "considering where this road is, it's composition, the management of traffic, and the proximity and safety of persons and property about, this is the maximum speed with which you may safely travel".

Thanks. I speed. And I have a grand total of zero tickets, zero violations and zero accidents so your point is..? I think a lot of people are actually in my boat here.

True. Another way of putting it could be that I haven't learned my lesson yet.
I hate cars for several reasons. First, they've destroyed any sense of locale. Secondly, they're money-sinks: Insurance, taxes, tires, fluids, gas, maintenance, license, tolls, etc. Thirdly, you can take a normal person and put them behind the wheel and they become an absolute IDIOT. And when I say some people, I mean MOST people on the road. Don't signal before changing lanes? IDIOT! Don't turn your head to check your blind spot before changing lanes? IDIOT. Don't signal a turn? IDIOT. Pass in a no-passing zone? IDIOT. Cross the line right after a light turns red? IDIOT. Don't come to a FULL COMPLETE stop at a stop sign? IDIOT. Stop at a red light and pull up to the car in front of you so you're blocking the intersection to your right? IDIOT. Think the term 'Speed Limit' is a suggestion? IDIOT. Bring me a horse!br0kenrabbit
Like my father says, when there's a yellow light, go FASTER.

So your saying as soon as i go over the speed limit by 1 MPH i am endangering my life and the people around and the road is going to crumble, if everyone would just drive right we prolly would not even need speed limits, look at the autobahn, they have that because those people are courteous to other drivers, they don't sit there in the lane doing 40 when everyone else is doing 70 like Americans do.
I kind of find the people who drive slow are more of a danger then the people who drive a little faster then normal, it upsets me when im going 80mph "keeping up with traffic" on the beltway and this "ONE" person is doing like 40mph in a 70mph lane, I mean people are almost getting into wrecks trying to get around this person because he is driving to slow, if he would just keep up with traffic there would be no need to pass.
If it was up to me I would have no speed limits in America, if you want to go slow stay you're a** in the slow lane and put put along. In the long run if there were no speed limits people would learn how to actually drive and not cause wrecks to see what their 500 HP corvette can do opposed to the people who want to drive slow.
We need a 8 lane Autobahn all the way from Maine state to California if you don't want to go over 100 don't get on it.This is my opinion by the way.
EDIT: I'm mainly talking about Highways and not neighbor hood streets or school roads.
I hate people who listen to that bubblegum pop rap **** that somehow gets more unoriginal, materialistic, and repetitive as the years go by. Maybe its because im more of a 90s rap fan, but whatever *listens to Gang Starr*.
I also hate people who, no matter the situation, seem to think its OK to text wherever you are at.
Kid: *HEY, DUDE IM BORED, WHATCHA DOIN*
Me: *DOING A ****N TEST, STFU*
Another thing i dont understand is the whole Myspace/Facebook Blog craze. I got a myspace simply because 'everyone else was doing it'...i honestly havent been on since december. I dont see the harm in checking it once or twice a week or doing a blog post every now and then, but it seems like the people at my school have some addiction to this because every other day i hear about someone talking about another persons myspace, blah blah blah.
and lastly, Anime. In retrospect, I did like anime, but that was back in the day when i didnt even know what anime was. I watched Pokemon, DBZ, and Cowboy Bebop. but now, Ive just found that whenever i sit downt o watch these types of shows, i find it too too hard to follow. and when i say that I watch the Boondocks, everyone dismisses it because its 'not real anime'. which pisses me off because it looks exactly like the other cartoon shows.
same goes with the Metal/Metalcore arguers; i know the lyrics might differ and the instrumental might not be ZOMGZ BR00TAL HARDK0R, but the Average Joe probably wont find any real difference in style between Megadeth and Lamb of God or Killswitch Engage.
What are some things everyone else does that you dislike. I don't mean "what do people do that make you mad/annoyed" etc, I mean what do other people do that you yourself would rather not? For me, it's television, telephones and cars. I hate Television because there's nothing but mind-numbing crap on. Every once in a while something decent will come on Discovery or History channel or something, but TV in general is, as they say, brain-rot. Telephones are invasive and annoying. You never know when it's going to ring, and if you don't pick it up when it does, whoever called is going to call back or expect you to call them back. And these are typically people you spend all day with who have nothing to say until you get home and busy with something.
