$25 and hour is about 50k a year. Unless everyone here is still in highschool there should probably be higher brackets.cheese_game619Ha you would be surprised how many College grads don't make $25 an hour. I have a buddy that has a masters in music education and works at Walgreens making $7.15. I have a AAS and just started a job at the end of July making $25.96. It all depends on the market and a little bit of luck.
The money will come. I started at like $6.15 (like 10 years ago) Then went up to $12 and am now making almost $26. Just stay open to different types of jobs and learn anything you possibly can. There are jobs out there, you just need to think outside of the box.i make $8.26/hour
not TOO bad i suppose

I make $18 an hour but I work lots of OT when on a job and it usually is equal to greater than what most people work (40 hours). I have worked a few 91 hour weeks this year.
Wow that's pretty crazy. Overtime is pretty cool. A 40 hour work week isn't too tough so making time and a half for 10-20 hours of a 50-60 hour week has more positives than negatives. But 91? That is some dedication AND some nice paychecks!I make $18 an hour but I work lots of OT when on a job and it usually is equal to greater than what most people work (40 hours). In my line of work, you don't get many days off when a shutdown is going on. Refineries, paper mills, chemical plants and such lose tons of money that add up when parts or all of a plant is shut down. They want any inspections and repairs made as fast as possible to get the equipment fixed and back on line. As an inspector, I have to get to the site early most times so I can do a turn over to find out what has been done during the previous shift and find out what will need to be done on my shift so the previous inspector can go back to the hotel on time. Yes, it is some nice paychecks and why I don't have to work a full 12 months a year. I use the summer months to recharge.
I take this OTE stuff is for Brits only.

Ah, no. It's for anyone that works on commission. It stands for On Target Earnings. Surely you could have just Googled that. Anyway working in sales usually means you have targets of some description and OTE is around about how much you would get paid if you do a satisfactory job. I used to work in sales for example and I started with a job selling raffle tickets that would usually get me about $400 a week, but then I moved to a job selling phones and such and that would net me about 800-900 a week. It doesn't necessarily mean I was better at the second job, it just meant it had a higher OTE.
For the record, I'm in Australia, and by the look of this topic we get paid a lot more than Americans. Our dollar is worth more too. lol.

Sorry I didn't google that. And yes I spent a few months in Australia a couple years ago and yes your dollar is doing well. But I must add that your Beer isn't what you guys think it is. That Tooheys old/new doesn't hold a candle to what The Boston Brewing Company is bringing the states. That and I taught 10+ of your guys how to play beer pong. :p You're welcome! No specifics, but over $25 - that's not an unusual wage for anyone out of university. Really, I should be making more than I am.DJ_LaeBy saying "out of university" I know that you do not live in the states. That continues to be the issue in this topic. The cost of living "overseas" is quite higher than it is here even in our economic crisis. We pay a much lower taxes. For now that is.........

Can't say I've ever played it.

So... are we ignoring those of us not working "summer jobs" who have a salary, or in that case are we meant to do a bit of division?
Either way, my answer is in my signiture: Sore wa himitsu desu.
