[QUOTE="jalexbrown"][QUOTE="FrostyPhantasm"] Without any harm coming to another human, it's essentially a cop out for atheists to seem cool and blame any short-comings or social taboo's on their "anti-religion religion" FrostyPhantasmI agree that, for some people, it is about that, sadly. But those are people that aren't really in touch with the heart of Satanism. LaVey Satanism does practice magic, for instance, which is something I'd never expect to see your average atheist do. This is where I fail to support satanism in anyway.. I mean no offense to those who practice it. but the whole harry potter scene is a no go. I think calling it "Harry Potter magic" is a generalization; there are no magic wants or fairy dust. Satanic magic is more about prayer and ritual, not about hokus pokus. But if you think it's silly or whatever, I respect your opinion.

I've been to mormon, catholic, orthodox, baptist churches and summer schools, and have done lots of research into other religions in the world. If there was ever one i would get behind the most, it would be Buddhism. It rawks my sawks. I respect and admire religious curiosity. I've been through it myself. I've attended several different churches, I've been to synagogue several times, and I've been to a mosque several times. Admittedly, though, I'm not very well versed in Far-East religions. But at the end of the day I basically came to the conclusion that Satanism is the least restrictive, and I feel a certain connection to its principles (theistic Satanism). I think religious exploration is a good thing. You can't know what you believe if you don't know what's out there.

[QUOTE="jalexbrown"][QUOTE="_rock_"]You assumed correct. And the fact that Satanism goes against what I believe in._rock_So that makes it ridiculous? Instead of you just saying you disagree with it, you have to say it's ridiculous?Guess so. Sad that you find something ridiculous just because you don't agree with it.
[QUOTE="jalexbrown"][QUOTE="_rock_"]Guess so._rock_Sad that you find something ridiculous just because you don't agree with it.Whatever you want to think mate :) I'm really enjoying the parallels between what the two of you guys' religion tells you to do, and what the both of you are saying. Its like irony day.
[QUOTE="FrostyPhantasm"][QUOTE="_rock_"]Whatever you want to think mate :)jalexbrownI'm really enjoying the parallels between what the two of you guys' religion tells you to do, and what the both of you are saying. Its like irony day. Er...I don't have a religion. I made this thread because I was considering Satanism, not because I'd fully decided upon it. And what, per se, would you think the appropriate Satanist response should be in such a situation? I meant merely from the common-man perception of what the dogma of each religion would entail. One who simply knew the basics of each religion would make the assumption that the satanist would be a rebel without a care in the world not caring or attacking Christianity, while the polar opposite the Christian, one would be under the assumption he should be "accepting and embracing" instead of bashing.

Yeah, I guess it is pretty humorous based on presumed attitudes.
The letters in Satan also can be used to spell Santa, coincidence? I think not.slimredninjaThis joke died after the first time it was posted.
I believe in Satan, and I know that Satanists are killing innocent people and pefroming rituals for him. It's so sick. Satan is God's enemy. Satan hates all humans and wants us to perish.tigertechie:lol::lol::lol: Satanists are killing innocent people? Are you for real? Find me one instance where any Satanists has performed a human sacrifice in the name of Satan.

What does that have to do with the claim that they kill people for Satanic sacrifice?

As I said above, there are some bad apples in every bunch. These examples are no more a representation of Satanism than Bin Laden is of Islam or the crusades were of Christianity. Please Log In to post.
