99.44% true. I think that Rob Zombie is truly under appreciated due to his history of crappy films...except for Halloween of course.

Of course, underated could apply to talent also, including well established bands, but that's mared by opinion often, wheras judging by popularity or how "big" they are generally is the better way to say how underrated a band is. Also I'd like to add another band that I think is terribly underrated, the melodic death metal band Norther, whom are virtually unknown, despite having been around for a good while. Actually reffering to underrated according to talent, I must name Polish death metal band Behemoth, who are relatively well known, but are often overlooked, and who's drummer is one of the very best in the world at metal drumminig.

There are way more bands underrated by talent than by popularity, I think.  But like you said, it's much more subjective than objective.  For instance, I can name five drummers who I think are superior in ability to Behemoth's.

Who cares if they are on MTV or not, there are a lot of great bands that have been on MTV in the past.  Although for the most part MTV has failed in recent years.
