I would Marathon and long distance is pretty demanding.

I dunno how they do it day in day out

I did it. Id still say training for a bout and the actually fight are both tougher. After a while, running 8 miles isnt so hard. Once your in shape it just becomes second nature.

Being pro athlete in any sport is physically demanding but what sport do you think demands the most? Explain (and you better explain well if you gonna say soccer(football) cause i think its one of the least)

Id say pro fighting take the most out of a person. i say so because its the only sport that really demands every aspect that sports ask for: skill, strenght, speed, agility, stamina, endurance and mental toughness.

Edit: Dont ask me why i put track & field on the poll:? tryed to edit and put something like hockey but someone was too quick

are people forgetting water polo and gymnastics? toughest sports on the planet... I know UFC and Boxing and Football are very intense too tho.

Wrestling (not that pro garbage, real wrestling, college and high school wrestling) anyone who says otherwise is just wrong...

Orlando_Magic

I'd say wrestling is the 2nd most behind boxing. Boxing I'd say is the most demanding and it's really not even close in my opinion...

Trust me, mma is harder. I've fought amateur in boxing, mma, thai boxing and entered jiu jistuse tournaments. Boxing is much easier than mma. In boxing, you only have to worry about getting pucnhed from about the belly button up, with only 12 oz. fisted gloves. In mma, you have to worry about getting hit with knees, kicks, elbows and punches in smaller gloves. On top of that, you have to worry about being taken down and pounded in the face or have very painful joint locks and chokes put onto you. It's so much more demanding, and that's why I quit amateur mma and just box, because it's so less demanding it's not even funny.

Chess is definitely the most demanding. I get so angry when I loose, you have no idea, they have to put me in a straight jacket.

Mixed martial arts. There are so many disciplines you have to train in from muay thai, boxing, jiu jitsu, wrestling, takedown defense, etc. Then you have to train in cardio. mixed martial artists are easily the most well conditioned and skilled athletes on the planet, bar none. hillelslovak
how i feel exactly. not only do you need to master your several techniques but you need all the other skills like agility, etc, to be good at it.
