The crust is important, and I think really the sauce and crust are equally important, but I voted sauce, because a bad sauce can make you puke.
Crust is important, but so is the cheese. A good crust on a pizza won't matter much if the cheese ends up tasting too salty, or too rubbery.
sausauge, bacon, pepperoni, ham, and beef best pizza ever i love making my own meat lovers whenever i worked at domino's so i chose toppings in the poll
The crust is what technically makes a pizza, a pizza.
pizza without cheese = bad pizza
pizza without sauce = bad pizza
pizza without crust = it's not even a pizza, it's just a pile of cheese and sauce. While not having cheese and sauce is bad, without crust, you don't even have a pizza!
So therefore, crust is the most essential of the three.
Sauce or crust. Anyone from the Northeastern US will tell you this. Crust matters more if you're from Northern NJ or NYC due to the excellent water in the doughs and as you head west sauce becomes more important. Two things everyone must know though, there is no good pizza south of Maryland or west of Chicago, there just isn't.
No offense Southeast, Southwest, and West Coast but your pizza is terrible.
I'd agree with the crust. No sense in building on something that isnt fit to eat.-Fromage-Agreed. You need to start somewhere. If someone saw you smearing sauce over the counter and throwing toppings on that counter, people would look at you funny. On the other hand, if you simply have a pizza crust underneath, people will ask when it will be done.
I'd agree with the crust. No sense in building on something that isnt fit to eat.-Fromage-thats true.. also without the flat bread it wont be pizza. :P
The sauce is usually makes or breaks it. When a pizza is bad it's usually because of the sauce. It's kind of hard to **** up cheese or most of the typical pizza toppings, although of course it can be done.
The cheese gets my vote. I can enjoy a plain cheese pizza and unless I am hungry I usually won't finish the crust.
Yea nothing better than the crust, Especially all the sauce that builds up at the base of the crust *drools*
But what if it is one of those really soggy ones, or it sticks out straight like a piece of cardboard?Crust is important, but so is the cheese. A good crust on a pizza won't matter much if the cheese ends up tasting too salty, or too rubbery.
