What do you think is the most essential part of a pizza?

Crust, sauce and cheese. lol Anything else doesn't matter as much as those three. Crust needs to be soft, sauce needs to have a nice kick to it, and the cheese can't be too hard, or too soup-like.

Crust. Otherwise you've just got a steaming pile of cheese and sauce. Hard to eat too.

Either the base or the sauce, a bad sauce can just ruin it.

The cheese of course. I can do without the other toppings and I don't care about the crust (thick or thin, I'll eat them both); as long as there's enough cheese, I'm happy.

For me it is between the cheese and the crust. If either one is no good then the whole pizza is no good.

chesse makes almost everything better, specilly with pizza

Definately the sauce. Everyone can attain cheese, but every great pizza maker has their own sauce recipe. Sauce>Crust>Toppings=Cheese

Without the sauce or cheese all you're eating is bread... so it's not the crust. I'm surprised so many people voted for crust.. they must not have considered this key point.

And without the sauce mixing with the cheese.. it's just cheese. SO my answer is sauce.. because sauce is something special even by itself.. but so is cheese.
