First was good, second was good.. after that meh. Didn't think too much of the third and never bothered watching any after that. They didn't look very good.
I honestly think the first Saw film is a modern horror classic. I adore the film - the setting, the bleakness, the desperation of the characters, the motivations....genuinely thrilling. Saw 2 - I saw it and I thought it looked like it had been produced by MTV. Still, it was entertaining and the twist at the end was a cracker. Everything after is utter tosh. Well, 3&4 are. I gave up on them after those.
I've never seen any of them, so I don't feel like I can really give a fair assessment of the series. I can say, however, that they certainly don't look like something I'd wanna watch.

Ur the most depreaved person on the internet on a forum that i have ever seen.
i saw the first 3 or 4 and they were trash. suspense and emotion weight are replaced with base manipulation. i dont care about any of the characters because they were only ever slabs of meat. cronenberg had been doing much more interesting things with gore long before saw was around.
No way would Saw 3D have been good. They made it for 3D. When you do something like that, it cheapens the film, and the extensive sequels already have cheapened the series so much. But with that said, I still enjoy them.
