What do you think will cause the end of the world?

Fallout-eskque annhilation? I dunno. Maybe we'll just die out from a deadly pandemic? Another asteroid? Apparently, one around a 1-3km in diameter could release more energy than a million nuclear bombs. Also, using all the heavy hydrogen in the oceans, we could also create a black hole.

Interesting, eh? What about you?

Religious apocalypse. What Jesus said in the Bible about the end of the world is begining to make a lot of sense.

Well the 'end of the world' would be the sun dying out. I don't think the human race will die out for a long time.

While the chances are extremely minimal, I'd say an asteroid. We just recently had a near miss, with only a 15 hour warning before impact. xD

Either when mankind breaks down into a state of panic or something astrological.

None of that crap would end the world, just be the end of the Human Race, the world has survived meteors, and ice ages, Whatever we do will just damage the world but eventually it will recover, one of the few things that could end the WORLD would be the sun expanding or some other solar event, Ahh the book of Jurassic Park has given me perspective :P

True. I didn't think this through too much. The end of the world would the sun imploding of the Milky Way and Andromeda colliding.

The poll options are funny. Astronomical, NOT astrological "stuff" is most likely! Nukes are certainly a threat, and could cause Human attrition on an unprecedented scale, but only an astronomical event would likely cause total annihilation of the Human race.
