Nuclear Fallout undoubtedly.

- The time when Zeus unleashes his Godly Fury on us. - The time when Atlas decides to destroy the pillar holding the world above. - The time you drop your Globe figure to the ground. We're done. But.. There is only one person who will be left behind. Possibly Will Smith.. But.. He's not alone.. The Last Man on Earth is not alone.. Never..NoctisCaelum52Atlas doesn't hold a pillar! don't be silly. It's turtles all the way down.
If the human race is still around by then, we will only vaguely remember earth. The only thing we "assuredly" know will cause the "end" of the world is when the Sun goes red giant and engulfs Mercury, Venus and Earth.

I don't think anything will cause the end of the world while we are still around. We might kill ourselves.. but besides that the world isn't going to end any time soon.. as I don't see it being obliterated by a black hole or the sun any day now..

Took the words right out of my mouth.
It must have been while you were kissing me.a collapse of our financial infrastructure and/or computerized systemsleading to massive shortages of energy and/or food causing uncontrollable rioting and anarchy.
Nothing, purely. As an Atheist I don't beleive in religious theory of the end. No one is that dumb to nuke anyone anymore.
Swine Flu... Joke
Science isnt doing anything that worthwhile to destroy the world right now,
- God will send a fragrant, cold wind that will take the soul of everyone who has in his heart as much faith as a grain of a mustard seed.
- Only the corrupt, non-believers will remain. And the end of the world will come. God will drown the world and everyone will die. Judgement Day will come.
The only thing that will cause the end of the Earth is when the Sun turns into a Red Super Giant star and stretches out past Mars and burns up all 4 terrestrial planets.
I always find it funny how humanity thinks it can cause "the end of the world". I can't believe most are so naive in their thinking. Sure, nukes will end humanity, but not the world. Earth was hit by another planet and survived for god's sake (that's how the Moon was made) - our little nukes won't do anything to the planet but kill us along with surface life. And then in 100 years when the radiation clears, the planet will start over: new trees and plants will grow, new animals will emerge, etc.
Tell me you're not serious with this post...- God will send a fragrant, cold wind that will take the soul of everyone who has in his heart as much faith as a grain of a mustard seed.

Goes under religious apocalypse. Valid enough for this topic.
Well the 'end of the world' would be the sun dying out. I don't think the human race will die out for a long time.

Yeah, this. There's a difference between the end of humanity's existence, and the end of the world. The world, as in, planet Earth, will be destroyed when our sun expands into a red giant as its fuel supply runs out (i believe this is scientifically correct, however i apologise if i have ignorantly made an error). Humanity will almost certainly destroy itself somehow. Creation of some super-virus, nuclear holocaust, development of nano-tech weapons, and so on and so on. Our stupidity and capacity for self-destruction know no bounds.
