What does an irish and a hispanic have in common?

They both were not originally from the US, they migrated to the US and they got discriminated and mistreated in the US for being immigrants. The only difference is that many of those irish descendants are the ones doing the last thing to the hispanics right now. History truly repeats itself.

Exactly. There are many Hispanics that have immigrated to the US legally, just as the Irish did (I am 5th generation removed from the Irish Potato Famine). Sandhogs did much to build New York such as all the tunnels in and out of NYC not to mention that they make up a large part of Boston's police department. Yeah, we did slave work back then, but there were others who did such things too from other backgrounds. My family were farmers before my Pop's joined the AF, my uncle the Marines (who went to work as a millwright after he got out).

TC, if you want to be taken seriously, you really have to provide evidence for your claims, which I don't think you're going to be able to do without grevious generalizations.

You are right. While it is illegal to discriminate as an employer or public entity, private citizens or groups do not have to abide by such laws.
