okay, I'm going to give you a relatively serious answer: it could mean anything. However, a pat, or resting limp on your shoulder is a sign of affection, however, how serious that affection is may mean very different thnigs in the eyes of anyone. The first girl could have done it because she liked you, or because she thought you were cute, or just simply to comfort your new transference to the school. Same goes for the second. I wouldn;t take it too serious yet, just let things play out as they will.Odin945

It may not be "bang me" affection, but it's positive at least. a touch on the shoulder is a lot better thengetting the cold shoulder.

So school just started and and I just transfered to a new school.

Im an 11th Grader btw.

So I was in AP World Government class, and our teacher had us play a cool money game together. So a girl was in my team, and I was talking to the group, and making jokes and stuff, and the girl laughed along, and then she just lays her hand on my shoulder for a few seconds, and then again later that class period.

Then the second time was in earth/space class. I decided to change seats, and my new seat had another girl sitting next to me. She kinda just randomly started talking to me. So we talked through the class period, and she was nice and everything. Then before I left, she patted her hand on my shoulder for a few seconds, even though I never talked to her before that class.

Its just kind of odd becuase this hasn't really happened in the past with me...

So what does it mean?
