I find a lot of people have a negative view on them and associate them with showing off and trouble making and whatnot.

I personally occasionally drive my brother's sport BMW motorcycle and sometimes I witness people who drive by open their windows, say something which I can never understand and continue driving past me. I don't drive in gangs, or over the speed limit or anything. I just do it for my own fun. I don't even drive between two cars.

Anyhow, I think because I'm driving a loud, sports motorcycle makes people think I'm either too cool or an asshole.

Sill though, I want to know what general humans think of sport motorcylists.

Next to everyone I've met is nice and has far better respect and understanding of the traffic than the average driver.

General humans, ha.

I'm risk adverse. Years ago I was planning on getting lessons to get my license but inconveniences intervened. Now I don't know, I guess I lost the desire.

I give them extra space when I am driving behind them.

One time I was at a red light and got surrounded on all sides by Hell's Angles. I didn't honk at them or anything, the light turned green and I waited for all of them to go ahead of me.

Me too. I treat each bike like it's a car for (their) safety. I keep proper distance.

Bikers come from all walks of life. I give them a friendly wave on the freeway.

I don't mind them, but bicyclists (non-motorized) often tick me off. I don't know if there are just more of them now or what, but it seems like a large number of them don't obey traffic signals, lanes, stops signs, or other basic traffic laws and then give motorists the finger when they almost hit them as they dive headlong into an intersection or weave between vehicles.

I guess the bottom line for me is this: Don't be a jerk, and I won't care what you drive. If you're a jerk, nothing you drive will redeem you.

I treat them the respect as any motor vehicle on the road, five them distant space. I will admit it's nice to see some go overboard the speed limit.

Motorcycle Gangs however.

Like anyone else who uses the road... so long as they observe the laws and proper driving etiquette, I couldn't care less.

However, asshole douchebags who think they own the road can go **** themselves.

I think they are a little tiny bit nuts lol.

but most I have met are actually competent drivers and know a bit more, a lot more aware of their surrounding when driving.

every now and then you meet or witness someone with a new crotch rocket and it is terrifying how reckless they are.

I used to move over to give them space but I stopped doing it as soon as I noticed that they stopped giving the thank you wave.

I don't attach to them the stereotype that they're a bunch of good-for-nothing louts and hoodlums, but I do believe they're very disruptive of traffic.

I hate electric wheel chairs. Other day one was going way too fast and cut across me on wide path. Even some who wasn't with me said. He didn't give a toss did he. I was walking straight as you should and he was going straight too but until he saw me. You could tell he did on purpose and for stranger to say that to me also shows it. I didn't say anything to him on the wheel chair but if I had done that on a push bike I wouldn't have heard the last of it.

That's odd because my observation is the exact opposite. Every person on a sports bike I see is typically in full gear (full helmet, jacket, pants) obeying traffic while I see a lot of guys riding Harleys with no helmet (they just got rid of our helmet law here in Michigan) that just do whatever the **** they want. "Oh, you're sitting in the turn lane? Well me and my boys are just going to cut in right in front of you." That's happened to me multiple time. I've been cut off by guys on Harley so many times I've lost count. Then again, I have also seen those douche bags on sport bikes going over 90 on the highway so I don't really like to generalize people just based on the type of bike they own.

I was a bike guy, but i hated every moron on a bike that saw me, needed to overtake me - maybe with a wheelie even - to impress my girl riding with me.

Now i laugh my ass off seeing them freezing their ass while i sit in a warm car with my girl.

I would guess I have no beef with the normal bikers I see on my road trips. They're usually those simply going from Point A to Point B. They usually follow the highway laws besides speeding. I always waved hello when one or a bunch of them passed by. I'd even give them room to pass.

Now, there are those bikers who are simply riding around in the city, hogging the road or doing stunts; basically being a hindrance to other motorists. An example would be that bunch where a Land Rover ran one of them over. I never encountered such a group of bikers. But, I'd be wary if I run into them.
