It's largely called "pop" here in Cleveland, Ohio "Soda" refers to club soda and quinine hard liquor mixers - and "Pop" which is mixed with iced cream. "Coke" only refers to the actual branded product itself. If you ask for "Coke" at a restaurant, they will inform you if it is Pepsi they have instead, before taking your order.

I've only ever heard of soda and drinks in Texas. At least the more urban parts. Never heard it called coke unless it was, well, a Coke. Pop is non-existent. I'm pretty the drink part is to refer to any beverage.

Here in Florida we specify what type of carbonated beverages we want. I want a coke means "I want a coke". I want a diet coke means "I want a diet coke".

I grew up on the East Coast and it was called soda or soft drink.

I call it coke or soft drink.

People here in Kansas City usually call it pop or coke.

Comprehensively to all soft drinks? we don't have one apart from "soft drinks". People call each brand by it's name: "Cola", "Pepsi" "sprite" etc. "Soda" is the name for carbonated water.

Don't worry, I'm not that attached to the school. People made fun of it for its mascot. "Going commando"...:P

BC Canada, I call it pop as a general term. This doesn't include carbonated juice drinks like those dole sparklers, though. That's canned juice, at least to me. If you want a slurpee, it's either called a slurpee or a slush or slushie. I always called them slushies until I started actually getting the 7-11 ones, now it alternates back and forth. If you want ice cream and pop, it's called a ____ float (coke, root beer, 7 up, etc). If you want ice cream and slurpee/slushie, it's a screamer. If you ask for coke or pepsi in a restaurant, they'll tell you which cola brand they carry. I have never seen anybody ask for just "cola" before.
