Those are so cute.
If I were to get another dog (mine is probably not long for this world, sadly) I'd consider getting an Irish Wolfhound, provided I had enough space for it to run about at will. Otherwise I'd get a nice German Shepherd.
Obviously it's much better to get a dog that's not a purebred, but those are just the breeds I like.
(By the way, PETA would be holding you at gunpoint to let your pet dog free...they think having pets is 'imprisoning' the animals, because obviously it's so much better to let them loose so they can be run over or starve to death or get shot.)
WEENER DOG WEENER DOG WEENER DOG WEENER DOG WEENER DOG!!! goddammit, theyre so cute8-BitternessLooks like Kevin Smith's dog. ~SSS.
I wouldn't get a dog. I read somewhere that the average dog costs the owner $14,000 in it's lifetime. I could use that money for bigger and better things. ferrari2001Uh, over a typical dog's lifetime, $14,000 is pretty insignificant.
Oh man, I LOVE Irish Wolfhounds. I went through a phase where I was so obsessed with 'em. Definitely wouldn't mind having one. Awwww so cute. Those are so cute.

Luckily that $14k figure is incorrect.

I like Dobermans, German Shepherds, and Huskies, but I seriously wouldn't ever get one. I'm just not a dog person; having an over-excitable, over-sized, four-legged baby follow me around everywhere and expect me to play with it and pay it attention and show it affection would just get on my nerves.
I would probably get another Akita. I had one when I was 11-14, and he was a blast. A little much for an early teen to handle in terms of discipline, but I'd love to get another now that I'm much older. They're goofballs with the people they know, but intensely protective of their family. Very formidable fighters too. They remind me of a husky and bear mixed somehow. My second choice would be an Alaskan Malamute. I love them:)
A chiweenie i have one this pic i found on google but they look the same. There playful small and affectionate. They are infact overly friendly!

I'm genuinely disturbed by this.
Of course I'm kidding
Now for the serious answer for TC's question: I personally can't think right now ...
i would get another husky timber wolf mix. surrealnumber5
Husky wolf mixes are incredible. This girl's name was Sugar. We had her when we lived in Montana many years ago. She was such a great dog/wolf.. until she decided to hunt the neighbor's sheep.
Or if you live in TX and a few other states, you could get a pure wolf like my dad used to have. This is Joe-Sam. He was 6 months old in this pic. That's my old man next to him. Mid 1980's.

i would not mind a pure wolf but my dog is already illegal in my state, its best not to spit in the eye of the nanny state more then i already have. i think my dog was bigger then the ones you posted, when he was in his prime he weighed 140lbs, now that he is 15 years old he is only 85-90lbs[QUOTE="hartsickdiscipl"]

That's a long dog life. Actually the wolf in the 2nd pic was 6 months old in that pic. He was over 180lbs when he was full-grown. Got a little bit wild and my dad had to sell him.
I have a 14 year-old Border Collie/Sheppard cross and she is the most vicious animals I've seen. She sounds like a coyote and acts like ahyena. I also have a 3 year-old black Golden Lab/Border Collie cross.
I met someone who owns a Shiloh Sheppard, those dogs are beautiful. I also really like Griffins because they look like Ewoks. I also really like St. Bernards, but they are a bit too slobbery. When the two dogs I have now die I probably won't get another.
