haha so far so good, and dont forget to say which actor you would want to see playing as your favorite character people.scoop_dawgWell, John Marston sounds a lot like Bill Paxton to me. Can you see it?
After a week and a half of playing Red Dead Redemption, I'm convinced it would be an awesome movie....or even better HBO series.Travo_basic
.. It already has been a movie.. Check out the dozens of western movies out there, RDR got its inspirations and ideas from them.. To me it would be as silly as saying that Grand Theft Auto should become a movie.. Yeah because we don't have enough gangster movies.
I want to see a movie based off of the movie-based game based off of the game Street Fighter. Did I just open a wormhole?

There hasn't been a good Western movie in a while and i thought the story of RDR was really good despite the plethora of cliches that could have plagued it. This would be a good choice IMO.Red Dead Redemption! :D

I'd love to see a movie based on Okami, even if it would be pretty bad  That or Metal Gear the movie :3Deihjanbut metal gear already is a movie lol

I can name a few.. 3:10 to Yuma remake.. And Appiloosa directed by Ed Harris.. Then there is Unforgiven by the late 90s.. The only thing I yearn for is Clint Eastwood's last movie would be a western.
yea dude definitely metal gear solid. probably 3. snake eater was epic.
althouh a half-life movie would be sweet too. the original half life that is.

Unforgiven was actually back in the early 90s, which is now a while ago. I never saw Appiloosa and 3:10 was pretty good...but the point is that the industry is not flooded with Westerns at the moment and hasn't been for a long time, and RDR would make a good and refreshing movie. Also, I remember Clint saying that he's done with Westerners. As much as I like his Westerners I think it's a good idea because I find his movies from the past decade to be refreshing and well done.Bioshock ;)

This would be the only game I could warrant in recent memory that would make a interesting movie.. In all honesty they could get rid of the whole plasmid idea because it will only get muddled in the movie.. But the idea of a dystopia underwater in the 1950s and 1960s of a absolute capitalist rule with no moral boundaries sounds like a extremely interesting thing to watch out.. In my mind it has alot like the calibre if done right such as 1984 or Clockwork Orange.

IT PRETTY MUCH copies from the great western movies in character design and story.. Gameplay aside, everything is a carbon copy of numerous western movies!.. This would be alot like claiming that GTA would make a original movie.. No it wouldn't because story wise these movies never tried to be original in story or character.. It would be more accurate of suggesting that we need a new gangster movie and RDR.. Because neither game story or character wise is hardly original of the respective genres.
I think Bioshock would be an awesome movie and Id make Grand theft auto and Red dead redemption into tv shows. I dont really care who the actors are.
I don't think that any game would fit to be a movie personally. A lot of game movies were failures. Advent Children was an example of that. I liked it but a lot of people just said it wasn't good. Personally though game movies seem too short (as in story length they just skip parts) and unrealistic. I'd prefer real actors that look at least similar to the characters unlike the mario bros movie which I thought was dumbest and probably most boring video game movie I've seen in my life.

It would be something a bit different, and if done right it could be epic!
Uncharted 1&2 would be amazing XD4NTESINF3RNOXHow can you make a movie out of uncharted? The whole games are practicaly movies anyways.

There's so many Western movies of the past, and so many things covered in them, it would probably take a genious to be completely original with a Western. One of the most acclaimed Westerns, Once Upon a Time in the West, is filled with homages and borrows extremely heavily from Westerns before it. So. great movies don't have to be completely original but can still have their own charm and appeal. Also, I think you're confusing me calling RDR refreshing with original. What I mean by refreshing is that a really good Western has not been touched on since Unforgiven, and the two examples you gave are two examples from a period of almost rwo decades. RDR has a lot going for it with its maturity, humor, detail, and cahracters. And the story isn't completely unoriginal, I can't think of a Western or too many where the government blackmails a man while holding his family hostage. The way the plot unfolds is well paced and I like how the put the element of journeying through three different lands.[QUOTE="XD4NTESINF3RNOX"]Uncharted 1&2 would be amazing the_foreign_guyHow can you make a movie out of uncharted? You just make Romancing the Stone again.
Hey, it can't be worse than the new Indiana Jones...
