the christian god has a son. the islamic god has 3 daughters. they're not the same godThis whole thing is like saying Zeus and Jupiter were different...they were the same thing just named differently by diffferent people. The only real differences is what these gods have done.
Uh, Christianity IS WRONG.... Marilyn Manson and myself are my only gods.TallicaFan2005Mr. Manson wouldn't be amused by your worship of him. That's completely misinterpreting his message.

the christian god has a son. the islamic god has 3 daughters. they're not the same godLet's say there is a holy wad of goat cheese, and it is described as being a certain way by one group of people. The wad of goat cheese then disappears and is never seen again. Over time, certain groups of people start to claim that the wad of goat cheese was misinterpreted, and offer a new interpretation of its purpose and meaning while the original believers stick to their beliefs. What you then have is the potential for two radically different sets of beliefs developing around a single object. The wad of goat cheese isn't different because the second group of people describes it differently - it's just an interpretation. It's the same with religion.
Judaism was the original Abrahamic, monotheistic religion. Christianity followed it somewhat later, stemming from the belief that Jesus was the Messiah (the Jews obviously did not believe this to be true). 'God' didn't change - He is very much a part of both religions. But Christianity developed new concepts (such as the Trinity) to adapt the religion to the idea that Jesus was the Messiah. There were also fundamental differences in moral considerations (surely you know well the vast differences between the Old and New Testaments).
Islam is the youngest of the monotheistic, Abrahamic religions. It too makes reference to one God being almighty, and also makes reference to Jesus and others as prophets, though it denies that any of them were god-like in any way. Once again, we have an interpretation built around the central idea of a monotheism, and it was clearly derived from the earlier monotheistic religion.
LJS has been right all along - you really shouldn't be arguing about concepts you don't understand. Study some philsophy and history of religion content, then come back here and tell people they are 'pwnt' when they actually are. Self-owning yourself isn't going to do much for your reputation.

No, of course the religions aren't the same. There was never any dispute about that - people have killed each other for centuries over these religious differences, after all. It's just the 'God' part, and that's what ironic. They fight over the interpretation of the same Abrahamic God. They all say He's different... but what they say is just interpretation of the same concept.
The answer is no. All religons are wrong.hoop_hard
But what if Christianity is Right?
We can play the what if? game all night. In reality, threads of this nature are quite pointless.
all religons are a pile of BSmat_the_catyeah basically i just follow the rule of being a good person and being nice to others thats all that really matters

If God is an actual deity that exist, he would look down at these religion with shame. Though they preach a God and try to subject us to a set of morals and ethics; they still fight and conflict with eachother. Religion is nothing more then people's interpretation of a Deity. Also, a lot of people are hyprocritical to the ethics of their religion.

Well, that's not necessarily true. We're biased... we want to believe that God is looking out for us and has our best interests in mind. But it's equally plausible that God is ruthless and cruel - Old Testament style - or that He has no real interest in this universe at all, and is simply watching to see what happens. He may even cause disasters on purpose to watch lesser beings struggle through them, the way we might collapse one of our ant farm's tunnels, just to see what the ants do.
Or there may be no higher being. We simply don't know. What we do know is where the interpretations of the monotheistic God arose, and in what order.
