What if all PCs and Macs became inoperable on 4-1-09?

If there turns out ot be a really bad, world-wide computer virus that nobody knows about - one that's hiding behind the cover of the bogus Conficker virus... And it affects the major Internet data relay centers around the world... instantly disabling all online data transmissions and rendering all of our PC's inoperable.

No internet. No PC/Macs.

Even the PSN and XBL networks get infected and all our console firmware and BIOS chips are wiped and we got non-functional consoles. All cell phones networks would not work either and somehow our cell phones firmware was wiped too.

What would you do?

its no surprise that you think you'd die without a pc and a cell phone. i was 8 at the time and made it through just fine, if all our wireless technology just went out one day it wouldn't be a big deal to me. instead of google i'd use the encyclopedia at the library.

Ummm if you would all of the article you would know that they said their are ways for you to be safe. They said that if your computer is up to date you have nothing to worry about

While I have no idea whether or not something will actually happen, I will be disconnecting my PC from the Internet just to be on the safe side.

I had Atari 2600 and a Commodore 64 back in 1986/87, and even then there was Prodigy for the 2 internet sites at the time I believe lol.

If your PC already has the virus it will activate when you connect to the internet again.
