What if God changed his mind on things since the Bible was written? He might have pushed the ten commandments down on his list of priorities. He might now like gays, hate slavery, and even tolerate anti-death penalty activists. Does this not factor in to someone's thinking when reading the Bible for moral guidance? The Bible was written 3-4000 years ago. God might be a liberal by now :oBourbons3God can't change his mind. That is impossible given everythign that is attributed to him.
I wouldn't rule it out because he changed his mind many timesbefore, hence the biblical contradictions.
Time is not the same for God as it is for humans. I mean He is was and always will be, so really 4000 years isn't that much to him. And He is perfect, so no he'll never change.
[QUOTE="Setsa"]God is seen as an omnipotent individual, and a change in mind would imply that at one point, He was imperfect. Sooo, God is prolly still a Conservative :PSway-But I thought he was so powerfull he can do anythng like change his mind. Can he post a GS thread he can't read?

Therefor there is no possible way he could change his mind because he would already know what his decision would be.

But I thought he was so powerfull he can do anythng like change his mind. Can he post a GS thread he can't read? That's where the double extremities come in, just like with the Simpsons' gag "could God microwave a burrito so hot, even He Himself could not eat it?" There really is no definitive answer.[QUOTE="Sway-"][QUOTE="Setsa"]God is seen as an omnipotent individual, and a change in mind would imply that at one point, He was imperfect. Therefor there is no possible way he could change his mind because he would already know what his decision would be. It doesent matter he can still do whatever he wants. He can be 100% black and 100% white. He can make a unbreakable wall and a hammer that can break any wall at the same time. So I think he can change a thought.[QUOTE="Sway-"][QUOTE="Setsa"]God is seen as an omnipotent individual, and a change in mind would imply that at one point, He was imperfect. I don't know about you guys, but my God is completely perfect. Perfect doesn't change because it doesn't need to be perfected.

To answer...it's impossible given the qualities assigned. But he doesn't dislike gays, isn't for slavery, and forgives everyone that seeks it.

Actaully he hates gays, hate to burst your bubble there, well he did free the jews from Isreal, then again he did allow slavery in Isreal (not the beating type of slavery though), and yeah he does forgive all that seek it.

He has the power to be evil, but being omnipotent and omnibenevolent, he would know that his course of action would be indefinitely proper, thus he wouldn't change his mind.
His omnibenevolent attribute utterly prevents Him from being evil.

God can't break the rules if God is the rules.
And I define omnipotence as the ability to do anything that can be done.
