i rewatched 2012 the other day and some events are happening - japan eathquake , tsunarmi and we have the olympics next year and riots on the streets due to cuts. But i dont beleive the world is going to end , the mayans only belived the world was going to last till then so its not true

The Mayan part is actually flawed, because the Mayan calendar does not end with 2012, it's actually way longer than that. Can't remember how far into the future it goes, or what 'happens', but the 2012 thing is based, IIRC, on the Mayans believing the gods recreated humankind - first there were humans made of clay, then some made of blood, the mayans were made of corn or maze, and some other people were made of different things. 2012 is when a new human race would be made, and the others slaughtered - think Noah's Ark and God drowning the sinners.
It's a possibility every day, not just in 2012? Be it from some random catastrophe or from you simply dropping dead.............................and no it won't, we are not special, we may be wiped off the face of the Earth (doubtful) but the "world" won't end, it will continue, hell the sun still has how many million or billion years to burn?
I forgot where exactly where I heard the anouncement, but a few months before December they announce that the 2012 was the wrong date, and it still supposed to happen, but not until way later into the future, and I don't remember the date they said or if they had mention a date.

There was also a story that someone posted on here that the end of the world was sometime this year, I think it was sometime in May :lol:
Yep I'm somewhat afraid, because it will happen, in the sense that in 2012, if we do not start thinking about the environment, the worlds resources will become irreversibly over-used.
