I forgot to watch it before returning it to my friend so could someone give me a summary of everything that happened? Thanks!

A real answer please.Dmg051793If you haven't seen it how do you know that's not the real answer?
Also have you tried Wiki, or IMDB, or Google or YouTube or any other site that might provide the answer?
There was an alternate ending to the movie? I did not realize this but I will tell you I did not like how it was portrayed in the theatrical edition. The movie did an excellent job covering the graphic novel for much of the film ... until the ending.
My favorite part of the book was the ending in part because of how astonished I was at how it ended. As such, seeing that the movie did not even attempt to end on the same note I was quite disappointed.
I'm not sure if the alternate ending to the movie was the same as the original novel but here is the ending to the book in short form that does no justice to the book:
Rather than blaming Dr. Manhattan for the death of the people, fake space aliens were blamed. As such, under the banner of being human itself caused the world to unite.

I liked the movie's ending more than the book's. It's easier to swallow mankind uniting against Doctor Manhattan than banding together to stop aliens. Probably because Manhattan was there the whole time and aliens just showed up in the end.
Pretty sure there was no alternate ending to the movie.
I don't know, was there? I'm writing this essay to contrast the alternate ending. I didn't think there was an alternate ending either but apparently my essay topic says there is?Dmg051793
I didn't know the film had an alternate ending. Maybe it's a comparion between the film and the novel?
Honestly, I thought the ending to the movie was better. It was far less random and made just as much (if not more) sense. There was an alternate ending to the movie? I agree it makes more sense. However, I found something appealing about the "what the crap just happened" feeling I received from the book. :PHonestly, I thought the ending to the movie was better. It was far less random and made just as much (if not more) sense.
