What is the best music era/decade?

What does the Gamespot community think is the best decade of music?

For me, it's all about the 00s! Nuff said. Just cause there's so much variety. Seems have a fair blend of all genres.

Haha fair enough! It's just that I've never really gotten into any of those bands. For some reason I keep putting off listening to Nevermind. The only Nirvana song I've heard is.. well you know. :P

Am I the only one who doesn't actually give a flying fuc|( how old the music is?
I have more stuff from the 00's than any other genre, doesn't mean I prefer it over any other decade. Just happens that most unknown artists from the 00's caught my attention through the internet than any other decade did.

For my preferred genre, the late 1980's and 2000's have been the most important eras.foxhound_fox

The 70's.AC/DC

The 60's.Led Zeppelin

The 50's.Buddy Holly

The 80's.Ozzy Osbourne

The 90's.Sucked,with only a few good albums

The 00's.Sucked more,with very few good albums

The 10's.Sucked the most in sucking history

That's my opinion,and I'm sticking with it.

The Baroque because of Bach alone. Otherwise the romantic period.

80's followed by the 90's

None are better really for me. I like stuff from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and now. It's just different types and genres and within those sounds have changed, but I like what I like and dislike others equally. I have favorite songs, but I honestly can't pick a decade or era once you pass the 60's.

Rhythym was perfected in the '60s, and Lyrics were perfected in the '70s, so I say '70s. The '80s had good Michael Jackson, that was a plus, and the '90s had good pop music, but the '00 killed everything due to people not liking bands or singers for more than a few months. Plus the music is just terrible.
