I would say a shovel. They are tough, hard, easy to swing, and sharp at the tip. I would of tied it with crowbar, but those are illegal to carry in some places.

[QUOTE="Chiddaling"]A phat nintendo ds.megageneNo, it has to be something you can carry in public. True...that thing weighs a ton..
There's nothing stopping people from carrying swords in public as long as they aren't hidden. So you could carry about a Katana or Claymore as long as it was visable. Maybe it's different in the states though.Ace6301
That would bring a lot of atttention if you were walking around with a katana(everyone loves that sword) and especially a claymore. Also it looks bad@ss whooping someone instead of chopping them to pieces.
I think if a cop saw you walking around with a shovel he'd at least take you in and ask you a few questions.
The way I see it, why would you need a weapon aside from self-defense? You wouldn't unless you were in the wrong, barring a zombie invasion. Therefore the best weapon is the one made for self-defense, and there is no better weapon for the purpose of self-defense than a trained mind directing the human body.
have to go with a sawn off shot gun easy to carry...in a trench coat lol

I was kind of talking along the lines of melee.
The belt. You can use it to strangle people as well as block knife attacks. Jason Bourne could do it!
A BrokenCYDE or Millionares CD + CD player, guaranteed to make any unfortunate victim bleed and or/run for their life/sanity in under five seconds!

I would say a baseball bat. A hit to the head is almost fatal.Yagr_Zero
That object isn't necessarily safe to carry around in public though.
The suspision that it is meant for harm is easy to gather, I mean, it is a baseball bat.
How about a shovel with a price tag on it? Then they would think you just brought it...Yes me FTWI think if a cop saw you walking around with a shovel he'd at least take you in and ask you a few questions.self-defense.

You could be carrying it in a baseball bag. Then people would just think you're on your way to practice. That object isn't necessarily safe to carry around in public though.
