There are to many, for me its probably Bathory. One of the first influential Black Metal bands. Lyrics heavily on the occult, satan and evil, later on Norse Mythology was their interest in lyrics and such.

You're mistaken. Master Of Puppets owns your soul. No one can escape the Puppet! Kill em all isn't their best cd. It has a few good songs, but It's not that great.

Hendrix plays such linear riffs, that even Paul Stanley would do a facepalm. Kirk is the best guitarist out there. Master Of Puppets is an example of his work.
Metallica was once great, but not anymore. And they are incredibly overrated and overplayed. They ain't really heavy neither, not in terms in extreme music anyways. Almost everyone likes Metallica, some non Metal fans alike.
