band of brothers by stephen ambrose. i give it a 9/10. great story and experience.
i am now reading the killer angels by michael shaara its a great and very-well written novel of gettysburg.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
I read this for my AP Lit class, and I ended up really enjoying it. 8.5 /10.
Curious as to peoples opinions on The Hunger Games series. I wouldn't mind an addictive read but I'm afraid it's going to be to Twilight-esque with the romance. As for my last book it is an Australian classic called cloustreet, right now I'm reading through Mass Effect: Revelations, the first book in the novel series.

The Hunger Games overall is a good series. The romance part of it isn't the main point like it is in Twilight, it probably isn't even the second most important part of the book. The first book is great, the second book isn't very good, and the third book is just decent but has a pretty rushed ending. It was like the author was told she had to finish the last chapter in a few hours, so she did.
The last book I fully read was A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin. It was excellent. More of the same, but still excellent. This guy is a master storyteller. Just started The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. Its good so far.

For my pleasure reading, I'm currently reading "A Clash of Kings." I already bought "A Storm of Swords" because I'm enjoying the 2nd book as much as I'd enjoyed the 1st.
A Storm of Swords
Great third book to A Song of Ice and Fire series although I still enjoyed A Clash of Kings a bit more. I'm already 300 pages into Book 4: A Feast For Crows and I can already say it's not anywhere as good as the previous books, but hopefully it picks up.

Let me save you some time. It doesn't. It's all downhill from here unfortunately. :(

It gets slower and slower but much more in depth on individual characters. They are really going to drag out the series but I will still read it allI've only met one other person who's read The Simarillion. Lol, it's basically a history book for Lord of The Rings. As I used to read history books for fun, I wound up reading it after I finished the rest of the LOTR books.[QUOTE="SilentFireX"][QUOTE="ferrari2001"]The Silmarillion by J.R.R Tolkien. It's a very good book if your into Tolkien lore, although often times very difficult to read. Still really good though, and necessary for fully enjoying the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Wren28
Ooh I've read it! It took a while, but it was really good!
I think it takes a certain type of person to enjoy it, but I most certainly did! That being said, I completely forgot to address the topic itself: The Heart and The Fist: The Education of a Humanitarian, the Making of a Navy SEALThe Sigh of Suzumiya Haruhi. I'd say probably an 8/10, wasn't nearly as good as The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi but I still enjoyed it a good deal.
