What is the longest you have gone without a girlfriend/boyfriend?

The last 2 years, but I've had a couple friends with benefits during that, which is better than a girlfriend.

LOL at having a gf at 10. I've been w/o a gf since mid 10th grade. In other words, around 2 years. She gave me the Bruce Lee xbox game for my b-day. Nuff said. LOL. And I don't really miss it. Too much drama, too little pay off, everyone with half a brain knows they're not going to end up together in the end, I hate dances etc, and all you do is end up wasting a bunch of money on one another.

I'm waiting for college. Hopefully it'll be somewhat different there.

I would have to travel the whole world 3 times, marry a tortoise, be the hero of WWIII just to compete with that record.

Three horrible years... But then the best thing ever happened to me. Too bad she broke up with me. :(

I went to college, did really well, was really social, dated, had fun...but didn't stick to one girl. My advice to you is to make an effort in college to at least try to find a nice girl...it gets more difficult in "the real world" to date as much. fyi

Yea, I heard that as well. My parents were very interested in the male to female ratio of all the schools I applied to...LOL... But yea, I'll try to find the special someone... Even though I don't think I really believe in the whole, one true love thing.

Well, you actually win--if you live to be really old. The idea was to see how long people have gone without, the winner being the longest stretch. Since you've never had one, however, I will need to check the rules to see if that counts...

Yea, really good point. That dawned on me after I read some posts from people who were in their teens who never had girlfriends/boyfriends.

Ok, rule amendment: The official "no girlfriend/boyfriend" clock starts at Age 15. Therefore, if you are 20, and never had a girlfriend/boyfriend, then you have gone 5 years.

Seriously though, there's no such thing as the "perfect guy" any more than there is a "perfect girl." If you want to find someone, you probably will. There are plenty of people who I don't think are attractive in the least that are happily married. Don't make a self-fullfilling prophecy. The way you think affects the way you lead your life, and the way you lead your life shapes your future.

You make a good point. However, I don't think I'll ever ask a girl out because I'll be too scared of rejection. So instead of actually knowing the answer, I'll just be wondering, "Would she ever go out with me?" Some things really are better left unsaid. The major reason, though, is that I wouldn't want them to go out with mejust because they are too afraid to sayno.I would just wonder if the girl really likes me, or ifshe just couldn't break my poorlittle heart. :P

Maybe I'll go out of my own weird way of thinking when I get older and find myself a girlfriend, but for now, I don't think I'll have a girlfriend any time soon.
