http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj6gulcYeG4&feature=related Explosions in the Sky- Your Hand in Mine Easily the greatest piece of music I've ever heard combined. I play it through my head constantly especially when I play sports. It means that much to me. CleanPlayer
Oh...i forgot....auriels ascension by some dude is very emotional. Something about it really hurts.....
Summer's Rain
I don't know many emotional songs off the top of my head, this one just came first when I thought about it.
Well, I dunno about "most emotional" but Kamelot's "Love You To Death" is one of the few songs that actually make me want to let the tears out.
For many reasons, Subterranean Homesick Alien by Radiohead.
When you are sad and lonely, no other song makes quite as much sense as this one.
"I tell all my friends/and they never believe me/they'd think that I'd finally/lost it completely/I show em the stars/and the meaning of life/They'd shut me away/but I'll be alright/all right"
Adiago for Strings by Samuel Barber, very haunting piece of music, very beautiful. Along with Moonlight Sonata by Mozart, also very haunting and beautiful.
R/T
"I can only imagine" by MercyMe.
I'm not very religious but this song really is the definition of love.
Fire Above, Ice Below by Agalloch. It's like the entire album, beginning with the end of Limbs and Falling Snow, and all of life's purposelessness exemplified by the album culminates in the last two minutes of that song.
Just recently I came across a song by Northern Conspiracy which is a band which plays at Mark Driscoll's church, Mars Hill Church, in Seattle, WA. This song is now one of my favorite songs and is entitled What Have We Done. I get emotional just about every time I hear the song. Here are the lyrics:
Oh my soul, oh my Jesus
Judas sold you for thirty, I'd have done it for less
Oh my soul, oh my Savior
Peter denied you three times, I have denied you more
As the nails went in, I was standing right there
As you breathed your last, I shook my head and I cried
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
Oh my soul, oh my Jesus
Judas sold you for thirty, I'd have done it for less
Oh my soul, oh my Savior
Peter denied you three times, I have denied you more
And the blood ran down, I was standing right there
And the water pored, I shook my head and I cried
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
As the nails went in, I was standing right there
As you breathed your last, I shook my head and I cried
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
Oh my God, what have we done, we have destroyed your Son
If you'd like to actually listen to the song you my do so by finding it on the list here.
Yes. I just barely prefer the SP version but that song gets me too. Good Choice.Landslide by Fleetwood Mac is always going to hold a special place for me. The Smashing Pumpkins version is good too.

Tears in Heaven, by Eric Clapton really gets me, especially considering the story behind the song.

Irrelevant but Mars Hill Church is right up my street (6 houses). Despite not being Christian myself, they are nice people.
