well actually some people believe that we are not designed to eat it because of some things...for example... if you eat raw/cold meat, you will most likely get sick, an animal wont. the meat gets stuck in our tooth, animals dont have this problem and last but not least our mouths are not designed to destroy meat so easily...so while you can have a hard time eating some steak, a tiger will eat it in like 2 secondsI had an argument with a vegatarian on another game site before and he stated that there is no reason to eat meat because he said "our bodies are not designed for it". Yes I know that we can live off ofplants alone but to say that our bodies were not designed for it is just stupid. We are Omnivores and we are able to digest both forms of food, if we werent designed for it then we could't digest it. Simple as that.

and I was once arguing with a friend (dont really see him as a big friend now...) about who was better between microsoft and sony, he said microsoft because sony "was more commercial" and that "It only wanted to make money" so that microsoft was "kinder and they care about making their customers happy, not about money" ofc I went ROFL on his face so I just gave him an example...if microsoft doesnt care about money why do they charge for xbox live? why do they make their own games to have failures with older xbox to make you a buy a new one?
the guy just stood there for a moment...thinking...then he came up with one of the most idiotics answers ever:
"thats because...microsoft has quality servers, sony servers are terrible and very defectous and they are very exposed to failures and its true they are very exposed to failures!"
btw the guy doesnt even have a ps3 and he rarely used PSN on his psp
On numerous occasions it's been said to me that the earth's complexity is proof of [insert deity]. It's intellectually lazy because it has the person using the god of the gaps.

That means you're an ICP fan, right? I've met a couple of you guys and they were all nuts. :P But in an entertaining way. There's a few to choose from, but I'd have to go with the one I had with my mom about a book. I was a homeschooler, and she got alot of books from the library. When I was learning about Brazil, mom got the same book 5 times in one year. Everytime she got it, she was convinced it was a different book.
It eventually got so I could tell her what was going to be on the next page lol.

i have had a a couple of arguments where it was my fault. and looking back i was thinking " i was trolling without even trying"
i compared the beatles to tokio hotel :P
I was in Iowa and this girl asked me where I was from and I said I was from Washington, the state. She said I was making it up and that Washington wasn't a state. I asked her if she'd ever heard of Seattle and said that Seattle was in Washington. I even showed her my driver's license.
Another time, I was with my friend from Rochester, NY, and we ran into some other guy from New York. My friend said he was from upstate New York, and this guy said, "no you aren't. Rochester isn't upstate." I stayed out of this, even though I always thought upstate meant anything outside New York City. My friend said, "I live there, and everyone in Rochester calls is upstate."
i have to go with this oneAny argument that involved my opponent taking, basically, an indefensible position and shoving a bunch of crap my way to try to convince me of its legitimacy.
Also, any argument in which you lose track of what you were arguing about in the first place.

I had an argument with someone that believed the attack on Pearl Harbor was not associated with WWII. That led into another argument where the other person said aircraft weren't used in WWI and that biplanes were mainly used during WWII.
This was actually when I was a young child (I was about.... 7). The other person was the parent of one of my friends.
War is terrible and the things humans do in ti are too. Every country has commited some kind of evil act and evry country has killed countless innocents. The things that people do and see in war are what drive them crazy not the brainwashing goverment. People have always come out of war with negative side affects sice the dawn war.I had a wonderful argument with a step cousin who is stillin the military about the military. He's the typical grunt, so he's kind of stupid, maybe naive. Whatever though.. He still thinks all of that honor, duty jazz is more than just a sugar coating onsteaming load of... There is no right period. It's just a job. All of that war on terrorism and othercrapis just propaganda like every other war. To make peoplebelieve the dirty is some sort of righteous activity.
Combat is not a humanitarians line of work. It's for mercenaries. You get your orders and you go on patrol. Accidentally killing innocent people or deceived into killing innocent people is nothing compared to the harassment that will follow if you don't follow orders. You do what they sayand they will let you have 6-8hours of sleep. If you don't they will put you on some detail or extra duty that will keep you up so long you will only get 2-3 hours of sleep. So after enough of that you'll kill whoever they want just so you don't have to be subjected totheir harassmentanymore. So you're just a tool, their equipment. Doesn't matter how you feel about it because they don't care. If bombing a country full of blind crippled children is what it would take for them to obtain what they are REALLY after they wouldn't hesitate.
SO you either know what kind of foul activities you're getting into or you were foolish enough believe the commercials. It's the real, it's not some good guy bad guy thing, it's all bad. But forwhatever reason he just wants to hang onto this glorified heroic picture of the military. The only thing I can figure is that he was one of those fools who was duped into believing the U.S military is righteous and every other is evil. So now he doesn't want to accept the fact that he's just another grunt within another regime doing what they say when they say regardless of right or wrong just sohe can get a full night sleep. And that's all it has ever been. The only difference now is there's no draft.
It just comes down to.. do what they say and you won't be harassed and you get to sleep. Also if you're obedient you make ranktherefore you get paid more. If youdisagree you get harassment, if you follow orders you get rewarded. So in the end all combatants are just mercenaries. The military doesn't want humanitarians. They are not good killers and they tend to question orders, they are difficult. But if you harass most of them long enough they will surrender. So obedience is rewarded with lenience and points towards rank. higher rank means more pay. So what becomes their function? Sleep, eat, do whatever is asked of them, get paid then get the hell out of there AS SOON their contract expires.
People who haven't been in the military as a combatant nor know any have no idea what they brainwashing and conditioning does to a lot of them. Most never function normally after that. And their hamanity is gone. I figure most itof has to do with weakness and resentment towards their government. They don't know what to believe in anymore. They had asense of right and wrong, but they were sent to kill people they didn't know, a percentage of themwere legitmatecivilians.
I use to wonder why my dad always panicked when he made a mistake. You could see the fear in his eyes. His instinct was to quickly fix it or hide it some how. Later I come to find out the military did it to him. They had him so conditioned that years after being out of the military he instinctively panicked because of all of the **** they put him through whenever he made a mistake. He was so conditioned that in the back of his mind he still believed they were going punish him. He never really functioned normally after the military. His brother told me. He always got up 5 A:Mno matter what, alarm or no alarm. He would move like he was on speed, like someone was whipping him. Couldn't really communicate with people anymore. Untrusting, paranoid. No concern for wrong. That's what I see in my step cousin. He has become so conditionedhe will never function normally again.

It was in high school. In one class (I forgot what it was called, but it was something like "the Canadian family and society." It was definately related to social studies,) we got into an argument over abortion. But it wasn't over the morality of abortion. Some one made the comment that abortion is only legal for the first 3 months in Canada, and I pointed out that they were wrong. Canada doesn't limit abortion in any way (except partial birth abortions)
We started argueing what the law was and it got pretty heated. Eventually the teacher just broke it up and said he'd research it himself. The next day he announced I was right :)
About half the parent conferences I have at my job come down to "stupid arguments". Even when I explain to them that the reason their kid is failing is because they don't show up to class or do the work, as if I'm supposed to just give them a good grade just for existing.
Whether Texas or France has more culture per year it has been a country. It was a good time.

People say that but I don't consider anything upstate NY unless it's like 1-2 hours away from where I live. I live about 15 minutes driving distance from the city and people at work have claimed that I live "upstate" according to them. I feel like people who either only live in the city or who aren't from NY would say anything outside of the city is upstate, no offense to you.
And as far as your friend goes, I would consider Rochester upstate NY as well.
