What is the point of making a point though?THere is none. You can sit there and wait for one (it wont come), or make one yourself

self fullfillment?
As defined by society (as I see it)...to serve society. People are designed to work to fill a supply or demand and work for the greater good of the society. Look around you in whatever town you live in...it's people working as hard as they can to service the rest of society, whether it be a bankteller, a fry cook, a lawyer, or an entertainer...all service society. The goal of life is service society in the greatest way you possibly can.the_plan_man
For most, the reward is extrinsic (money) because most people are not lucky enough to be in a passionate career that they love.
The point of life is to rise to the top. You either rise or die like a dog. Capitan_Kid
It must be miserable for you, knowing you'll die like a dog.
to live! i know it sounds redundant but its the truth. to experience the universe in the 3d so that we can learn from others and to understand ourselves. do whatever excites you the most. you have to create that purpose in life. just have fun with life and love everyone and everything no matter what. just be free, loving, caring, helpful, positive and safe!

Lol nope. I refuse that option so the only choice there is for me is rising.[QUOTE="lostrib"][QUOTE="Capitan_Kid"]The point of life is to rise to the top. You either rise or die like a dog. Capitan_Kid

Yeah but do you wanna die like a boss or a bum? The choice is yours. So the point of life is pretty much to avoid being homeless and dying on the street. That's not exactly a high standard to reach

Well my analogy was obviously extreme but basically you either accept mediocrity in life or you rise above those standards. You gonna go do something grand or do something bland?[QUOTE="lostrib"][QUOTE="Capitan_Kid"] Yeah but do you wanna die like a boss or a bum? The choice is yours. Capitan_Kid

if you just keep doing whatever excites you the most then you won't have to. it will just come naturally.

Are you one of those YOLO freaks? Because you have a very shallow understanding of lifes philosophy.

Because lifes philosophy will elude you if you strive to bed as many women, and collect as many earthly possesions as possible, and then declare yourself triumphant.
Life is about finding yourself. It's about enjoying your place in the cosmos.

I dont subscribe to the YOLO philosophy. Whats so shallow about rising to the top or being mediocre? Not everyones top is the same. Im not saying you gotta cure cancer. Just be the best you can be and dont settle for less.[QUOTE="Capitan_Kid"][QUOTE="lostrib"]Well my analogy was obviously extreme but basically you either accept mediocrity in life or you rise above those standards. to grow corporately bleh i see no point in that but to grow spiritually now that's acheivement. but everyone lives in their own reality so if that's what you believe then that's what it's gonna be.
Whats it even mean to grow spiritually?[QUOTE="-Renegade"][QUOTE="Capitan_Kid"] Yeah but do you wanna die like a boss or a bum? The choice is yours. Capitan_Kid

Your answers are vague. Whats it mean to find yourself? What makes you think your philosophy is the end all be all? I gotta do my thing brah.[QUOTE="lordtree4"]I asked this question to a five year old child, his response was three simple words: "to be happy". Great wisdom.-Renegade
hahaha that reminds me of this
9 year old discusses the meaning of life and the universe
I'm fascinated by the way they see things, being so young and all, there's a lot to be learned by just listening to a child think about these questions. Please Log In to post.
