[QUOTE="ownage_denied"]Holy **** That is a lot for your size -do you eat roids for breakfast, lunch, and dinner he's probably one of those guys that stick their ass in the air and use leg drive. Either that or he's just a strong guy. I met a few guys could walk in gym do 405 on the bench press like it was nothing while barely training.Age: 23
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 187 this morning
Bench: 365 shooting for 380 by the end of the year without gaining weight

I'd like to see you guys bench some of the numbers you put here. I been going to the gym for about 4 monthes now and i haven't seen anything over 200. Mostly it's 90 and rarely you'd see 180. The guys who bench 180 look 200+ pounds

You'd be surprised what the human body is capable of. What I do is pretty standard for anyone who invests time into strength training. I'm not sure what kind of environment you're training in... or the age group of people you're working with.. but both me and my brother were bench pressing 225 at 14-15 years old while only weighing around 150. I have a videotape of me doing 255x5 if you really want to see but I mean.. whats the point.. next thing I know you'll accuse me of having a fake videotape.I'd like to see you guys bench some of the numbers you put here. different gyms have different cultures/lifters I guess -many people at my gym do more than 2 plates on each side (225+) -a few guys do 3 plates -1 guy does 4 But I work out at Gold's...there are some serious lifters there 2 plates is pretty easy if you have been lifting for a while...any more than that takes natural talent or lots of desire/dedicationI'd like to see you guys bench some of the numbers you put here. That must be a pretty weak gym. Benching 180+ pounds isn't that big of a deal if you're working out regularly and following a solid routine. Sure, genetics/body type can play a big part in what you can accomplish and how fast you do so, but generally speaking, benching 180+ pounds isn't an amazing feat at all. And if guys at your gym who are 200+ pounds are only putting up 180, there's something wrong there.

Some gyms just have a different culture or group of people. Many people don't work out to bench press a lot.. they work out to stay in good pyshical condition.. you can do that without bench pressing a lot of weight.I'd like to see you guys bench some of the numbers you put here. I'm 16. I weigh 132 lbs am 5'6 and can bench 150. I feel pretty weak compared to others in my highschool, especially for being aJunior, but no matter what I do I can't seem to put on weight. My max goes up, and I look more muscular over time but even with repeated reps of different workouts, I haven't put on any weight since 8th grade.

No roids just a lot of hard work, good genetics, and some very knowledgeable guys I lift with. EMO, I know exactly what your talking about on that lift form and I would get laughed out of the gym if I did that . I lift with one guy who's really a beast. He's 5'5'' and 170 pounds and can put up 380. There is a few negative effects on my social life to dedicate so much time to the gym. I can't really go out to eat or party with my friends much. I have to cook and eat 6 fairly large meals a day etc. In case you didn't know it sucks to eat pretty much nothing but chicken, rice, and bread everyday.
16, 240 Pounds, HT 5'7, Bench press 180. I'm better in leg press, i could do 450...
And I don't work out, I just do some push ups whenever I feel like doing it..
I'm 20 and I weigh 155-160 pounds but I have no idea how much I can bench press, I'm assuming probably my weight or close to it.

I've thought about competing but I have a heavy enough schedule as it is. I go to school full time and I have a full time job. I might later down the road if I feel like getting almost naked in front of an audience :D .
