Over a certain amount of time relaunches just seem like a better idea then a sequel, (arguably) best seen in Batman Begins. It could also turn laughable (Halloween - the Rob Zombie crap) or meh (the Incredible Hulk). What is your favorite?

I think mine is Casino Royale, it brought a whole new Bond into play, a more badass Bond. Granted the sequel didn't live up to the hype, but they hardly do.

I think the remake of Dawn of the Dead is one of the best.

Its a great zombie flick on its own right, but the acting and atmosphere was excellent...it really caught that whole feeling of going stir crazy, trapped inside a mall.

Can someone explain what a relaunch is?

Throwing the previous franchise out the window and starting new, like what Star Trek did last year. Rebranding it with new actors and such.

Batman Begins was just perfect. I never thought Burton understood what Batman was about, and the other two movies were laughable.

Batman Begin would definitely be my #1 favorite reboot. I've loved Batman all my life and Begins just seemed to get it all right, from the dark and serious stmosphere to the incredible acting. I also loved the new Star Trek movie because it turned a franchise I had absolutely no interest in (I've never been able to get 10 mins into one of the movies without falling asleep) into an intense and interesting sci-fi adventure.

Batman Begins. It was a great movie, but frankly anything would have been better than the shameful Batman and Robin.

I thought the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween & H2 were awesome. Great portrayal of a classic Horror Character.

Halloween I could stand cause they had enough hot topless girls to keep me amused and the leading actress is very hot. But the second one she is not hot cause she's all messed up and it is over acted and trying too hard and really boring. I liked the Friday the 13th reboot better, looking foward to Nightmare on Elm Street too :)
