Between the piano and the cello. The piano for its orchestral properties, and the cello for its extreme lyricism and its softer and more masculine tone than the violin. My favorite instrumental ensemble is the string quartet.

I played the Alto Sax back in HS so I've developed a taste for it, although I'd like to learn trumpet and guitar.

He's using Piccolo strings, which allow for tuning in the bass up to guitar strings(i believe only the first four)
and he's using a reverb very heavily, which gives it a slightly different tone.
