I have to go with the pizza sauce. I would imagine a pizza tasting to good without it. Also I got to put cheese up there as well. I can't imagine a pizza tasting to good without cheese.

Seriously though, I like the odd things. I like black olives, mushrooms, onions, hot peppers (not those weak ass banana peppers), and pineapple (only on Hawaiian pizza though). It depends on the pizza place as to which meat I like the best. A black olive is a black olive, but a sausage is not always a sausage if you know what I mean.

Pepperoni for sure. I like sausage, but it's really hit and miss. Pepperoni is always a sure thing. Same with most other ingredients. I've had weird tasting sausage, over ripe green peppers, funky mushrooms, and some nasty pineapple, but never bad pepperoni.

Good cheese it required for a decent pizza - anything else is nice but it is not going to make the pizza worthwhile unless you have worthwhile cheese.
