smart nerds on forums? Anyway,I am in the top 1% but when you really think about, it isnt that special. There are 3 million people in the USabout as smart or smarter than I am. Hell there were two kids in my graduating class that were smarter than I am in a class of 142 people at a public school (one of them was so smart that she made me feel stupid)

The nature of these forums makes it quite likely that there is a far higher concentration of gifted individuals than elsewhere; hardcore gamers tend to be relatively intelligent, according to most studies on the subject, and those who frequent these boards are, for the most part, hardcore gamers. There is a plethora of other reasons that forums of this sort might tend to have a higher concentration of gifted people than the population at large, but, to be honest, I am feeling somewhat lazy at the moment and don't particularly feel like delineating them.

High IQ=/=Good Grades and Vice-versa. I know someone whose test scores are average but she works her ass off and makes nearly straight A's

I don't think so. I was under the impression that all they do is sit around and talk about how great they are while taking pity on the rest of us.
