A failure. It has created segregated, insular communities, rather than integrating immigrants into the society they enter. The melting pot works a million times better, and still allows people to retain however much of their culture as they see fit.Zeviander
i agree completly.
you can have nationalism and people of many cultures and ethnicity's at the same time.
I just finished a paper on this lol. What most have said is how I feel about it and in Canada it has diminished the Aboriginal and French Canadian movements considerably by reducing them to just another national minority, but they have a much larger stake in Canada than other minorities.
Multicult is a liberal experiment.
Generally speaking, the results of multiculturalism are cultural friction, violence, crime, poverty and urban blight.
It is not known whether it will ultimately work out.

Depends on the culture, if you're talking about middle eastern or ganster culture.
WHile basically the same thing, are both turning society into a black hole.
Obviously the french are to blame as well.
I think that multiculturalism is a fine thing indeed. It prevents a nations culture from growing stagnant and forces it's citizens to learn to respect the differences of one another. I also believe that it broadens a countries cultural output such as in art, movies, music, literature, and videogames, thus increasing that countries cultural relevance in the world.

Bingo.
I like it a lot. It brings diversity and variety to people. It makes us learn about others religion and habits, culture and people. With that there are problems but if you open minded there is a lot more good than bad. My grandma use to say,we should look for what brings us together not what separates us. BorrizeeHow is multiculturalism in Belgium?

GazaAliHow is multiculturalism in Belgium? In Belgium we have a lot of religions and nationality s besides eachother. Most of the people are from marocco or turkey. Besides that we have a lot of Asian people and Italians. Those are the biggest groups I think. I like it a lot,I have friends from all different nationality s and religions. We discuss religion and culture on a civilized way and we learn a lot from eachother. The only thing that in my opinion is wrong is that most people from the same origin are living in the same streets and buildings. It's not only there fault because our government likes it that way,it's easy to controle they think. But if you want people to integrate in society it's better to let them live with the people born here my opinion.
I dont really belive in multiculturalism.
It just means that there are many different cultures in one country, but the different cultures are not intergrated.
same as food. you can get a platter with many different styles of food on one big plate, or you can eat localized food like japanese-style curry and californian roll sushi.
damn that hurtsDepends on the culture, if you're talking about middle eastern or ganster culture.

As someone else said, it depends on how you define multiculturalism. One could easily refer to a melting pot as multiculturalism.
I'm not sure why multiculturalism would be bad unless cultures or parts of culture in play weren't very good or intelligent.
I definitely feel that the world would be a better place if everyone just lived in their own country. People wouldn't have to combat the problem of multiculturism and could better focus on more important things like technology and trade.Crunchy_NutsAgreed. Japan and South Korea are homogeneous mono-cultural countries and their known for technological advances in the modern age. Now multicultural countries like India, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Iran, not so much. :P

Multiculturalism is a tool that Zionists use to weaken Gentile nations by compromising the homogeneity of those nations' cultures.
People will scoff at that, of course. "Another conspiracy theory motivated by anti-Semitism!" they'll say.
However, Dr David Duke presents stunningly compelling evidence in favour of the claim in this 15 minute video:
Multiculturalism in Europe: Who is behind it?

Opposing Zionism doesn't make me anti-Semitic.
There are Jewish people whom I greatly admire, like this courageous young man of conscience.
As for the "crazy" bit: Genius and profundity are always derided as lunacy in their own time. :P
