There's only one way...Limit the speed of the cars. That way, people won't have the power to go faster. It's a ludicrous claim, but passing laws won't do anything.
Death by dangerous driving should be manslaughter, not a few nights in the cells. Also, drink/drug driving should receive an immediate ban. People'll soon learn.

Ive actually been thinking about that for a while now, but it would cost potentially trillions of dollars. Youd have to have radio towers that send the speed limit to your car depending on where youre driving, but there would still be idiots on the road. Auto pilot is the only answer, but we're probably a couple hundred years away from that kind of technology.
One thing that would help is to not give out licenses like candy on Halloween. I know somebody who is LEGALLY BLIND, and he got a license with absolutely no problem.
Take away the car that every single human being has, and impose massive public transport; we are too darn stupid to be given such a sophisticated machine.
I would make a law,that every person who got lice. must complete the test every 5 years.The second thing I would put a chip in the car,so when the cars go more than it should go,the chip send a signals to the brakes.Then the car couldn´t go faster (only if you wouldn´t care about your brakes)....

the only way to stop it would be to take away the human aspect, unfortunately we are all flawed and when it comes to driving it seems some more than others
There are a couple of things: - let companies invest a lot more in safety, all money in R&D must be located towards safety (or the most that they can miss to prevent operational failure) - driving slower on all roads by at least 20mph would reduce the chance of injury or death severely - enforce people on using public transport and riding a bike for short distances!
I reallysee noneed atm, at least not to maek a immensely drastic change.. Really imo from what I have seen its our entire traffic system.. Places like Germany or other places in Europe have proportionately less car crashs.. This is coming from countries where the legal age of drinking is by far lower..
I would want them to change the driving age to 18...because im i know a few people who who died in car crashes and all of them were underage and were doing stupid **** The older they are when they get thier licence the more mature they are...

Make cars extremely dangerous, by attaching warheads and installing blades inside the car that way if you crash you know your gonna die, maybe a few people will be motivated to drive safer that way, and if any nut job gets suicidal or psycho then tough luck for the other people....
I'm all for tougher requirements for licensing, and periodic testing. Stiffer penalties would be an asset, too. Ultimately, you can't keep all bad drivers off the road, but making it difficult for bad drivers to be on the road is the only way to limit the damage they cause.
Pilots are far more careful in the operation of their vehicles than motorists are. It's not like a high speed car accident is any less dangerous than a high speed plane accident. So why are pilots more careful? Because it's much harder to obtain a pilot's license, and there are stiff penalties in place for those who fail to follow procedure in the air.
there really is no helpful theory, there will always be accidents reguardless of if you change the way people drive or any aspect of it. it's part of life's mistakes, everything will not be perfect and accidents will alwyas happen
