So the zombie apocalypse is upon us. You have 15 minutes of relative safety before the place you are hiding in is overrun.

I would gather as much food as a can carry into a large rucksack and run to the seafront (about 8 minutes from my house) and steal a boat. Then I would stay offshore until my supplies ran low and then go on land only to re stock using seaside towns.

I live in the UK so guns and ammo are not really a solution to the problem. Running and hiding seems a far more appropriate solution.

SOOOO OT.....You have fifteen minutes of safety and then you need to move.....what is your zombie escape plan???

Aircraft carrier, a lot of dirt, a good variety of seeds, and some womens = floating farm.

Will have to fish for protein, though. And build up the edges of the carrier deck so the dirt doesn't erode off. Fish guts make good fertilizer, right?

Good plan. Assuming you can get yourself an aircraft carrier. I like the sustainability aspect. I assume you plan to stay docked?? Or you are gonna have to learn how to captain an aircraft carrier...

Assuming I can read I can probably figure out how to make it go forward. Rudder shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Now if the reactor springs a leak I'm taking my chances with the zombies.

Luckily behind me lies 5300 square miles of nothing but uninhabited forests and mountains. I think I'll be safe.

Considering I'm in the middle of a densely populated urban area, I'm pretty screwed if a zombie outbreak starts here. Maybe if I made it to my car and was able to drive safely a long way away but I have no idea where. If the outbreak wasn't too numerous when I start my escape I would try to meet up with friends and see what they are going to do/ tag along with them.

I live inland so I'm somewhat screwed, but my city is surrounded by miles and miles of next to nothing, so I guess I'd pack what I could and get as far into the middle of nowhere as possible. Live off the land if I can.

But in an ideal situation, I'd get to an island of some kind. Any kind. If I could get off the continent where the outbreak was happening, that's the best I could hope for, but otherwise an island in the middle of a lake and try to wait it out is probably my best bet because I assume Zombies don't swim well.

Escape...?
I'm not leaving until I've beaten Dark Souls 2 - I don't care if I have to hook up a peddle bike to power my TV.

I live in the country and we have plenty of guns and ammo.

You should be more worried about the zombies escaping at that point.

28 days later infected oh crap.

Bring all the food in my house upstairs, then destroy the staircase. Then fill the bath tubs with water.

There's enough guns, ammo, and non perishable foods in my house to last a couple of months.

Hmm 15 minutes eh?

first id grab my Steak knife set. 6 steak knifes, 2 paring type knifes, a bread knife, a longer steak knife, and two santoku knives one big one small. and also a honing steel. to help keep them sharp.

then grab my toughest light jacket.

grab some food/drinks.

Go to the gas station fill up my cars tank. then go to dollar general for a few more supplies. mainly duct tape and food/drinks.

cover my light jacket in several layers of duct tape, to help prevent from being bitten.

then id try to live as long as i can. id give myself about a week once i have to leave my house, unless i can find a group.

as for a plan, id probly try to hole up in my house for as long as possible. move some furniture in front of the doors. cover the windows in Duct tape to help reinforce them. leave some holes in the duct tape to let some light in/ let me see outside. can use the egress window in the basement to get in and out of the house if needed. its got a metal bar type cover over the top, so i would be able to look around and still be protected. looks very similar to this: http://www.grateescape.net/egress-window/BeforeAftAnimation.gif

only use my car when i need to.

If your plan is to get turned, might as well cover yourself in body armor and wear a helmet.

Zombies with bullet proof helmets = boss zombies.

I'd try and make my way to California to meet up with the Mythbusters. If anyone can survive a zombie apocalypse, it's them.

I live in an apartment and the door is reinforced so I could stay in without any serious trouble of zombies entering but then I'd be trapped with diminishing supplies. I also don't have a car so going to the docks(which is kinda far on foot) to find a boat would be really hard. Thankfully I live close to the suburbs so I would probably gather some essentials(food, clothing,a knife, torch) and then make my way there which is less populated and so fewer zombies to survive from. Then I would find a group of survivors or try to find my family.

Grab the family, my bug out bag, my rifle and pistols and whatever ammunition we can squeeze in the truck and go upstate towards my Dad's hunting lodge.

You guys would actually leave your home with a horde out there?

There would be a mass panic, you wouldn't make it a quarter of a mile before the zombies caught up to you, then all hell would break loose.

Better to fortify what defenses you have and wait for the panic, add well as the bulk of the horde, to pass. Then you'll have your chance to escape.
