My pet Golden Retriever just died today, and I've been pondering as to what kind of puppy I should buy now in a month or so.
You guys have any recommendations?

Great Pyrenees. :oayanami_rei
Yeah I just looked up some pictures of them... a very nice looking dog and its seem to have a friendly disposition.
I really want one, but my mom says no because we already have two dogs in side and a kitty. :(Yeah I just looked up some pictures of them... a very nice looking dog and its seem to have a friendly disposition.

I'll buy one when I move out of Ohio. :D There we go!
aww man that sad, sorry to hear that, my golden retriever turned 1 year old a couple of months ago, anyway, huskies are great, and pitbulls are incredibly nice dogs if properly trainedsovereign_22Huskies are great dogs, but they take a lot of attention and are very hard to train. We had two of them. However, one died of epilepsy and the other was ran over by a car.
Get a Jack Russell or a pug... They're awesome...
And get them from the pound or an animal rescue organization.
[QUOTE="martialbullet"]Buy a Welsh Corgi.....and then give the dog to me.

Wow, just a beautiful dog.
I want one soo badly
Sorry you lost your dog. We only get them for a little while. Im an older guy and have had lots of dogs. The pound puppies are the best. Mixed breed dogs have fewer health problems, less finicky digestive systems and tend to not be high strung. The few pure breds Ive owned have been the highest maintenance, shortest lived dogs.
Good luck. Whatever you decide.
Whatever you do, don't get a Beagle. They're adorable but that bark is so annoying.
I guess I'd either get a German Shepard(my dog is a German Shepard/hound mix so I'm kinda biased towards them) or a Rottweiler. My sister has a Rottweiler and it's probably the scariest dog I've ever seen in person but he's really friendly. Anyway, those two are what I'd get but it really depends on the dogs behavior. Obviously you wouldn't want an unfriendly Ruttweiler.
BTW I tend to lean towards bigger dogs because they're less annoying and don't tend to be desperate for attention 24/7.
