I pretty much listen to all genres of music although I must admit that I've drifted away from most metal since the mid 90s. My main areas of interest are alternative rock, jazz, international music from traditional to dance mixes, and classical music from old liturgical music to modern composers such as Witold Lutoslawski and everything in between of course.
Well, I usually listen to most everything. But, I prefer mostly symphonies, techno, and jazz, as I find them to be most peacful in every occasion. I like most songs that are instrumental rather than lyrical...mostly because lyrical songs come to be rather distracting on most occasions. My least favorite music would have to be rap and hard rock, as I am not very fond of loud noises, screaming, and dirty or distasteful lyrics. I'll sometimes listen to rock instrumentals, but that's about it when it comes to that particular genre.
Mostly classical, symphonic metal, art rock, drum and bass, dance, some other forms of electronica, classical jazz, progressive rock/metal, ska, blues... You know... What all the "cool" kids are listening to these days...
