Hey there folks,

Was just wondering what kind of tech ebooks you tend to buy. I myself like ebooks that help me with something, like 100 guides within computers or gaming for example.

Please share!

Most of my non-novels ebooks are about photography.

@karlstech: I have been reading more about philosophy to increase my understanding of science and engineering, actually, as philosophy leads to those fields. I am currently reading Walden, and On the Duty of Civil Disobedience, by Henry David Thoreau. His work inspired civil rights leaders in the 20th century such as Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I have been reading computer science e-books, mostly, but I shall be increasing the number of fields I read about.

There's not need to buy the tech tome of the day anymore. All that stuff's easily found on the internet. The only tech books worth buying these days are on things like theory or application of best practices. I highly recommend Code Complete, by the way.

Yeah I don't know what came over me...

I suspect it would involve pictures and articulate descriptions. :P

None, I buy the paper copies. Why would I want to drag my e-reader to work every day in case I need to reference my PL-SQL book, for example?

The last ebook I bought that heavily involved technology was Guns, Germs, and Steel.

Good old Jared Diamond. You should check out "The Third Chimpanzee" too.

C++, Python, Java, C#, stuff like that. I try to get all my reference books digitally. That way, I can have thousands of pages worth of reference on one device. I like the physical books, but they can be huge and troublesome to carry around. Plus, with ebooks, I can search for something instead of going to the index/table of contents.
