what language should I learn?

I'm to study a language for 10 weeks in the native country said language. but i haven't decided on a language yet.....

what ,in your experience, is a nice language that is also useful, and is from a great country?

dutch for instance would be utterly useless, they literally all speak english, generally perfectly.

latin actually can be quite useful, all the roots of italian (especially), spanish, portugese, french and what not are from latin

Well, If you can learn danish, you can learn any language. Basically, it makes no sense at all. It's just a bunch of jiba jaba. Really. That's why everything else after you've learned danish is gonna' seem like stealing candy from a kid on a wheelchair.

Well, the significant other was teaching it to me so that helps. Mum could not speak the english so I learned some to try and talk with her a bit.

Go with dat French son, can be useful too.

Ifyou're living in the US thenSpanish would be a good choice,if not French is quite easy to pick up.

Oh come on, as gluttural as it gets Danish is not the most difficult language in the world!

I'd say Mandarin as well. It's a steep curve at first, but gets easier. Plus, if you're gonna live in the country, Chinese food is awesome, cheap, and everywhere.

Depends where you live. If you live in Europe, German or French would be good choices

I'm learning German right now, and I went there last summer and planning on going again this summer. I'd recommend that or Mandarin or Spanish

German, I'd say. It's the most spoken native language in the EU and the second most spoken language overall in the EU. It would induce in thee what I believe to be a reasonably moderate felicity.
