What made you join Gamespot?

I'm just asking because i've recently seen people complaining about how strict gamespot's mods are, and they should definetly try to spend a day on facepunch. The reason I came to gamespot was i quite like the leveling up thing, it's like an rpg, but not really :).

Discussions on games, other topics, finding internet friends, better community than IGN and Gametrailers and girls.

My friend told me that he would kill me if I dont join.

I initially joined to review ONE game.

Then, they hit me with all the leveling up junk. :lol:

After that, the forum posts, the blogs, the tracking...It all just came along with it. Now I just use it regularly 'cause this is actually a pretty cool site.

I joined to prove girls don't exist on teh intrawebs.

Had visited this site almost daily since 2004, and finally decided to open an account in 2007. It's been interesting since then.

I love video games and therefore it was inevitable that I would choose to join gamespot.

Was playing Fable at the time, used this place for cheats before, figured it'd be a good place to ask some questions about the game, needed to join to post. Been using it ever since.

Along with IGN this was my second site for game reviews that and the rpg system is why I joined here

Joined originally for the reviews, hints, etc..

When I first came here they didn't moderate quite the same. On the other hand....while some moderations are a touch sensitive.....it's not hard to last here either.LJS9502_basic

Yes, but you always played by the rules. It is hard to last here if you are a bit crazy. Sometimes humor can be confused as offensive content. Like that time I got a 12 days suspension for saying something funny about Miley Cyrus (?)

Anyway, I joined gamespot because of Act of War game. I wanted to talk about it. I stayed because of all the funny creationist threads, that seems to be gone :(

I joined for the info and news on everything gaming.

I joined just to be a member of... something. Ya know?

I used to post on the 3do forums, but when 3do went bankrupt and they shut the forums down, i searched for a new forum and found Gamespot ( that was sometime in early 2004)

I liked the site - maybe there was something you couldn't access unless you signed up - honestly can't remember
