Agreed. I was kinda dissapointed with Watershed & Ghost Reveries. I miss the good ol' MAYH/Morningrise/Orchid days. :(
i honestly liked Ghost Reveries quite a lot. I enjoyed it more than Blackwater Park and Deliverance, honestly, both of which I found a bit yawn worthy, Deliverance especially. I was also disappointed by Watershed...i think that's just a taste thing though, as the classic rock/prog influence is getting a bit too strong for my tastes.
Btw, Saturo, my salute to your Eluveitie sig. Band rules. Since you're into folk metal, have you given the newest Equilibrium a listen? It's pretty darn good.

Overall, their new stuff isnt bad, but their older stuff seemed alot more serious and well thought out. When the new stuff usually ends up the song playing the some chord(s) for a minute and repeat.

I do tend to agree...it's for that reason that i said i found blackwater and deliverance rather boring, for the reason you mentioned. I guess the reason i put ghost reveries over them is simply that i found the addition of keyboards brought something to the table? I also liked the grooves.
The older stuff is definitely better though.
Btw, to amon amarth, how is the new Satyricon? In the same vein as the last offering?
And as far as Cradle goes...please tell me it's better than Thornography? Please? That album's almost made me give up entirely on Dani and co.
Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime. I've been listening to it for about 6 months...and it's genius. Possibly the greatest metal album to date.kylekatarn10
I totally agree! It is in my top 5 favorite albums of all time! What a masterpiece!
Watching from a Distance by Warning
Shambala by Aquaria
Holy Land by Angra
The Divine wings of Tragedy by Symphony X
Agalloch - Pale folklore_Tobli_
Awesome cd. Hallways of Enchanged Ebony is easily my favourite song on that one.
Oh and to the guy who mentioned Cavalera Conspiracy...that cd really disappointed/underwhelmed me. Then again, so did the new Soulfly, so i guess it makes sense.
