I think I would cast Rowan Atkinson as the main character in the ShawShank Redemption just for lulz.
One movie that I know I would NEVER cast differently is One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Perfect cast, even if a few of them were unknown before hand :P

The Godfather was supposed to have been portrayed by Sir Laurence Olivier. He was considered too ill at the time, and instead the role went to Marlon Brando. Now I'm not saying Olivier would have done a better job, Brando is superb, but Laurence Olivier is my favourite actor of all time, and I would have loved to see him as Don Vito Corleone. I read the book before watching the movie, and in my mind I always pictured the Don looking more like Olivier than Brando.
Spiderman! But i've heard they're changing Spidey on the fourth installment. Tobey's no good! He turned Spidey/ Peter to a punching bag and on the 3rd sequel? He turned emO!
