I vote for:

Amores Perros by Gonzales IƱarritu
Fargo by the Coens
Pulp Fiction by Tarantino
L.A. Confidential by Curtis Hanson
Goodfellas by Martin Scorsese
Lord of The Rings Trilogy by Peter Jackson
Beauty and The Beast by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise
Toy Story by John Lasseter
Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke by Miyazaki
Sense and Sensibility by Ang Lee
Schindler's List by Spielberg
The Pianist by Roman Polanski
Pan's Labyrinth by Guillermo del Toro
All About My Mother and Talk to Her by Pedro Almodovar
Shawshank Redemption by Frank Darabont
City of God by Fernande Meirelles
Unforgiven by Clint Eastwood
Life is Beautiful by Roberto Benigini
and
Requiem for a Dream
by Darren Aronofsky

Movies that will probably be remembered but I'm not a big fan of:

Titanic (One of the cheesiest screenplays written for a movie that didn't deserve an Oscar for Best Picture)
Avatar (good visuals but nothing more than that)
The Matrix (the sequels made me enjoy the original less)
Forrest Gump (this winning over Pulp Fiction and Shawshank Redemption at the Oscars is a sin)
Dances With Wolves (I'm just not a fan of this one)
American Beauty (It's ok but I'm not a fan of this one)
Gladiator (ughhh)
Braveheart (ewww)

Future Cult Cl@ssics:

Kill Bill
Gattaca
Fight Club
Repo the genetic Opera
Children of Men
The Boondock Saints
Dark City

Well thats I could think of at the moment. Please add more films. :)

LOTRs and No Country for Old Men. I want to say the new Star Wars but they are so far off the reservation as far as SW goes, I just can't do it.

I wouldn't call them classics. Batman Begins had a bad performance by Katie Holmes and I just felt that The Dark Knight dragged a little to long and I found the monologues and Michael Caine's speeches rather cheesy (Let's not forget the infamous Batman voice) :)

He had to disguise his voice. But still classics by fans and critics.

I know he had to disguise his voice but the growling just felt way to awkward. I liked Michael Keaton's performance much more.

Yeah It could get annoying. Individual performance I liked Bale a bit more than Keaton. I think the best batman might have been Val Kilmer. Putting individual performance aside I tought the movie keaton was in was just to dark for a super hero movie. The new batman were great because batman was edgy but not to dark it had a good balance.

I actually agree, car was mediocre compared to the rest of pixars line up. It was good but just didn't seem to be in the same league as the rest of the line up.

I think people take it for granted because its such a slow moving, and therefore boring film, but that happens to be what I love about it, the way it meditates and contemplates conflict in general. The imagery and the metaphors may not be terribly precise, but they are beautiful, that's for sure. Nick Nolte's performance was my favourite - very energetic.

Sounds like Malick to me, I know I will love it. :P I am excited for his upcoming film The Tree of Life, whenever it will come out is basically unknown might be in 10 years the way he is.

I really liked 'A Serious Man' and 'Let the right one in' after seeing both of those recently. I myself liked Happiness, I liked it a lot, but I could definitely see how some other people would turn on it. So bitter and raw, it was much like a different American History X to me in that it was difficult to watch the whole time but you just had to keep going. I still havent seen Bad Lieutenant, but Ive been hearing good things.

Dead Mans Shoes will definitely be a cult classic, it sort of is already, it's not that well known. Since I've noticed there's no real comedy films on there, I vote for Shaun of the Dead

I just was really intrigued by the actions and dialogue of Daniel Day Lewis' character and I felt that the movie ended when it had to end. It was a very tense movie. I didn't feet that with The Dark Knight. It would have been better if it was 30 minutes shorter. The Joker was great but I just found the movie to long for a plot like the one it had. On top of that I I just felt the monologue and the speeches Michael Caine's character gave rather forced. I prefer Tim Burton's Batman, but this is only my opinion so don't flame me guys. :)

Believe it or not, I don't think The Dark Knight was the legendary movie people made it out to be, and like you said, it has problems (I don't like Burton's though). Daniel Day Lewis was great in TWBB, obviously, but I really felt like the movie didn't go anywhere, not like it should have. The music was horrible imo, and it only really went somewhere at the very end. No Country for Old Men was much better imo, or even 3:10 to Yuma, which also came out in the same year.
