thanks to Nanimidori for introducing me to them 3 years ago. Love you
It has to be one of these three: Classical, electronic and metal/hard rock. I honestly couldn't say which I listen to more though.
Metal is still a subgenre of rock. Doesn't mean it hasn't evolved since it's inception.and LJ, at one point metal may have been close enough to rock to be considered rock (like rock was at one point to blues) but you can't seriously be telling me that all the millions of people who are 'rock fans' would appreciate the likes of Bolt Thrower, Dying Fetus, Suffocation, Unleashed, Darkthrone, Behemoth etc.

[QUOTE="0Tyler0"]lots of peeps like death metal it seems like.. well I think it sucks GodLovesDeadPure ignorance, my guess. A lot of folks are instantly turned off by the aesthetics of it (the drumming and the vocals are likely the cause) and dismiss the genre as being crap. It's entirely their loss. Death and black metal are extremely expansive and I'm sure there's bands you'd absolutely love if you gave them a chance. Not true. If it doesn't sound good to a particular person they have every right not to like it. I don't likde death nor black metal and I have given them a chance.

I think electro is the safest term with music like Justice and Daft Punk. :PFair enough. Well from now on, just know that Daft Punk is House. French House (the best kind  ).

Agreed. Most people just say techno, and that really bothers me cause that's something completely different.
While we're on the electro subject, have you heard the new Snoop Dogg song? It's...schocking...ly good. :o
*looks at userbar in sig* Take a guess...rockguy92Classic rock is not really a genre.....it's a radio term.

I cant stand snoop dog, but i'll give it a listen just so i dont feel close minded. :P Techno is definately something different. Heck, it's funny that people often refer to Daft Punk or Justice as 'techno' when Justice have a whole song about how much they hate Techno music.[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]Classic rock is not really a genre.....it's a radio term. I always have someone say that when I post in one of these threads...Probably cause it's true.:P[QUOTE="rockguy92"]*looks at userbar in sig* Take a guess...rockguy92

I know it's "electronic" but not many people care about the difference between house, techno, trance, dnb, etc. so I just say "techno" even though I know I don't listen to ACTUALLY techno.
*looks at userbar in sig* Take a guess...rockguy92Another classic rock fan... a lot of good taste on OT. And 90's hip-hop
[QUOTE="The_Game21x"]Did you know that the vocal style rapping came from toasting which was used in Jamaican reggae back in the 70s? Didn't think so. :PHip-Hop/Rap.

You didn't give me time to answer the question...:?
And...secondly, what, exactly, does that have to do with anything?
